I use my Avie as a barometer for the speed of the site...If Haley is dancing in slow motion, then it's running slow. If Haley grinds to a halt, so does the site. If Haley is moving full speed, well the world is a beautiful place and so is the site. [Image: flamenco.gif]

Just have the IT tech guy check out my Avie...after he examines Haley doing her thing, our problems will be solved.
Can anyone else who is experiencing a slow connection do the trace route, then post it here?

When I do it, the result is barely visible for split second before disappearing (it doesn't stay on my screen).

If you press the "Run" command, that will call up a dialog box. Type "tracert" (no quotes) into this. That will run the Trace Route.

I use Windows 7, so I first had to enable the RUN command. This is done by going to the CONTROL PANEL, selecting APPEARANCE AND PERSONALIZATION, then TASKBAR and START MENU.

From there you choose the tab at the top labeled START MENU, then select the button labeled, "CUSTOMIZE." After that you scroll down to the item labeled "RUN COMMANd" and check the box.

Click "Okay", to close that window. Then click "Apply" and then "Okay" on the next window.

After doing that, you should see the "Run" command at the bottom of the right menu when you press the "Start" button in the lower left corner.

^^ Since I had that difficulty, I went ahead and submitted a ticket asking Eleven2* webhosting move the site to a different server as the tech I "chatted" with yesterday said I could do.

The response I received,

"The site http://haleyfans.com/ is loading fine now. Please check this after clearing the browser cache and cookies."

My response:

Quote:I want it to be fine all the time.

This is the first time I've submitted a ticket but I have spent a lot of time in chat with your reps lately.

I'm getting tired of it.

*Used company name so comments about service turn up in web searches.

It seems to be running full throttle , I don't want to speak too quick because last time I did get it started slowing down again. But this is doable good job Miguel for keeping us at the speed of Haley.

Yes, it seems fast again. But it was slow far too long.

I spoke too fast...

Quote: The connection was reset

The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.

The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.

If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection.

If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.
It is loading slow right now for me.
Just received this response:

Quote:Miguel,

It might be due to some temporary issues with the web server. We will make sure that you will not be having any such issues.
26 second wait to open this thread after clicking on it.

This site has done well until recently. I hope they straighten out the problem.
All this recent new Haley activity is starting to put the binders on this website. About an hour ago it was fast and then slowed down again.
