I'm probably jumping on the bandwagon but TBH I don't hear any strain at all.It sounds so natural and its a good example of all the things that she has at her command when it comes to her voice-colors,nuances,etc.And the inspiration may come from CBR but its all HR to me.

I do understand Sir Buzz's point because about three quarters of the way through the song she was emotional & her throat became a tad constricted(ever try to sing when you are crying?). Overall, the song has a beautiful sentiment & young girls will love the message...

Sweet C...for a minute there I thought I was the only one going deaf and deserved a Halien lashing...but maybe I'm not the only one going deaf...Tongue

Actually, Sweet C can be counted on to be completely objective...she cannot be bribed, cajoled, arm twisted, apple polished, duped, enticed, seduced, sweet-talked, or wheedled. I've been trying to use wheedle in a sentence for like 5 years...just made my day [Image: party0038.gif]

If you don't have any stones...throw some bricks at Buzz[Image: fighting0079.gif]

I could be wheedled if you paid off my mortgage & signed off on the title in blood...Wink
^Checks in the mail Sweet C...while you are waiting...

Listen to Haley's newest single...Wheedle Blues [Image: cool0012.gif]
Listening to 'Soul on Fire'...

A big difference from acoustic version of 'Let Yourself Be Beautiful' and the significant studio production in SOF. It makes me wonder how SOF did not make her debut album. Maybe it is being held for her 2nd album, because it is one powerful song. I love how effortlessly she hits those highs in the chorus. So many different layers with the background singing, which Haley had to be a part of. Great song.

Both songs are inspirational, just two different genres...for the young women with low self esteem LYBB hits the mark. For those who are driven to achieve greatness SOF could be their anthem. Apples & oranges really but they're both still fruit Tongue

Do you think if we penned a song entitled Wheedle Blues Haley would record it Huh Of course, it would have be in yet another genre. That is the beauty of Haley's voice, she is mostly genre non specific but still brings cohesion to her music...Cool

Google:

"And a Monday night, with all the inspiration in the world, I retreat to finish my choreography Undone - Haley Reinhart #WithDedication"
German upload of 'Undone' with lyrics

Google translation: I hope you like it. It is not unusual, quite simply (get me an interpreter Tongue)

They're both great songs!

personally, I really like "Follow My Heart" that was unreleased. I wish we could hear the entire song but here is the snippet from Soundcloud. It sounds very Beetle-ish to me. I think this could have been a big hit.
