Headed out for LA tomorrow for a couple of weeks to be with my daughters for the Christmas holidays. One of my girls happens to know a lot of people in the entertainment industry. They all hang out in West LA you never know. I might be able to meet Haley. I'll keep my camera handy, but then again I don't want to be dubbed as a paparazzi. We will see. I'll take my laptop along with me so I'll still be connected have a good holiday.

Haley will be heading home to Chicago for the holidays soon so you won't have many opportunities to stalk catch her. Even if you miss her, I'm sure you'll enjoy your two weeks in sunny LA with family. Happy holidays to you.

I hate to be a Grinch, but the last time I was in LA at this time of year, it wasn't so sunny. In fact, it wasn't so warm either. Merry Christmas!

Since I'm not following any of the other Idols (even though I'm a huge fan of Country music), I don't know how well their cookie-cutter music has been embraced by true music lovers. But, I believe those fans will quickly lose interest in them if their songs are repeatedly rushed through in a semi-polished state for the sake of making a quick buck.

Scotty's album is selling really well. But it would be interesting to see the demographics of who is buying it. He's a safe teen hearthrob, so I suspect the bulk of his fans are teenage girls and their parents. I think the appeal of Scotty and Lauren will be limited somewhat until they're old enough to sing songs with less-safe, more-adult themes (they're old enough now, but their audience might not find them acceptable at this junction).

Both of their albums Scotty and Lauren were banged out in record time. But what gets me is there is nothing original I haven't heard the album, but I suspect everything that he singing on that has been sung before. I have to listen to it to really confirm that. That's what I really like about Haley. she's writing her own music she's taking her time. Nothing rushed any day now. I bought Scotty's album, gave it one listen through and I now use it for a drink coaster. It lacked any true soul to it, just as James's did. As a musician who has played in bands for years, it takes time to come up with Music that represents you and you can't do it in a matter of a few days. Haley knows this given her background with her family and that is why she has been so vocal about slowing things down and getting involved with the sound of her dream album.

You know Satch, that's money you could have spent on extra Haley albums for gifts. You have to be more careful dude!
