^^^ I was behind Sharon and her family waiting to get the picture book Greg gave me, signed, but her family was so excited, and her little sister was over the moon happy.

One of the best things about seeing Haley is her interactions with young fans, her smile gets brighter, if that's possible

Chiara and a security guard started moving in to get Haley out of there, so I left with the book unsigned so Haley could spend the remaining time with a very cute little family. Their Mom was OTT gushing as well

Determined to get the book signed, Greg asked Mona to do it even though I told them it was OK. Mona came back, mission accomplished, and told me Haley wondered where I was? Why didn't I come to get it signed, Mona explained that I was 'shy' LOL

I'll have to catch up on everything tomorrow.....at a hotel this weekend and the internet is very slow. I might see Harry tonight!!

Pretty awesome. I wish I could hear the full tones a bit better.. that recording Casey did in the Mayfield Club spoiled me.

Casey's playing was insane too.. sometimes it is easy to ignore the accompaniment when that is the foundation upon which the soloist, singer etc needs to take a good performance to a great one.. Haley has shine most in my opinion when surrounded with super-extra-special musicians. I'll have more to say about that elsewhere. Few musicians can really get going correctly without a drummer ... Casey has a special ability for this...being able to kick the beat within(I mean at the same time) a creative bass or rythm guitar accompaniment.. or even while playing himself while singing

Jacob's solo gets really really interesting at one point and is pretty creative throughout.

He goes into a full modal bop mode at one point... and does so in a way that is expressive in a coherent way that jibes with his approach when he comes back to the chords and seems to key in or that something extra "Meet the Flintstones" theme has beyond its silliness. There is something a bit more to the "exuberance".. it is certain color of exuberance.

(EDIT I From listening to him playing "Worn out my soul" above, I believe the quibble below has more to do with recording quality than actual sound ! I might say I prefer an alto sax to play with a bit fuller tone... closer on the spectrum to a clarinet than to a typical tenor sax... but that is a minor quibble.... also this post doesn't belong exactly here.... haha... atlhough there is something I want to say elsewhere about a sound I'd like to hear more of behind Haley to take her awesome performances to an even higher level)

Casey really gets into this song sensually, almost to the point of going to jail or getting the crap beat out of him by a jealous boyfriend. Saw his interaction with mainly one girl at BallyDoyle first hand last week as his hand ran thru her hair for a full minute followed by their foreheads touching for just as long. Didn't actually get off the stage and into the audience like in Tusk's video. Thanks for the video to compare Tusk.

Love "Your Take" on "My Cake" Tusk. How did you hold it so steady? I can hear the lyrics best on your version.
