AI tour 2013 stopped in Rosemont Il. last night. Although I didn't pay that much attention to the show on TV this year, I did watch some of the shows. I read some good reviews of the first night of the tour from kirsten on MJs, and in a weak moment, bought tickets.
My seats were in the second section on the main floor. I knew I had good seats, but 4th row center stage! They were great! Best seats I've ever had for a concert. Venue was only half set up with seats , and most of upper deck seats were empty. Sad considering when season 10 played at Allstate Arena, it was sold out. Seats were going for 9$ online yesterday for upper deck seats.
Anyway, it was well worth the trip to see them. I brought my 9 year old niece when my friend , who was suppose to attend with me, forgot and went to Wisconsin instead.

This was my niece's "first concert", and a night she won't forget in a long time.
Contrary to what some reviewers have said, I thought the show was great! The girls looked and sounded fantastic. They are halfway thru the tour, so have had lots of time to perfect their moves. The show moves along quickly with one number after another, and was very entertaining. I thought Curtis definitely over sang every time he got near a microphone. And his parents were in the audience, so he was schmoozing to them. Lazaro was good, as long as he knows the songs he's singing IMO. You could tell he wasn't up to the singing standard of the others. The girls definitely stood out more than the boys.
My favorites were Janelle- she's so cute, and just sang her heart out. Angie- lots of screams in the audience for her, and her original song was very good. Kree- she was almost my favorite of the concert, except Candice brought the house down when she sang Lovesong by the Cure.
Each one of them said thank you to the fans at some point during the night.
Definitely worth my 50$ tickets. So glad I went. I brought my niece outside after the show to get autographs and meet the contestants, but after a 45 minute wait, and still no contestants coming out, it was time to go home.
Here are a few pictures I took for my niece. I put together a picture book from CVS for her, and it turned out so cute.
will add more pics tomorrow. Time for bed now....
