Yes I sure did, and thank you so much!! I have that 20 minute Haley segment to listen to now on my way to my appointment today, thanks to you Himm. You are so appreciated for doing that. I usually only keep one version of each song on my Haley playlist, Moanin' will be the only duplicate - this version is SO deserving of a spot!!

This is the only song I got to video, as I was on the aisle, I was first to be chastised for recording.

Thanks all for the excellent videos, pictures and posts!! Hallie again lives up to and exceeds expectations with the 3 songs. Like others have noted, I didn't think Moanin could sound as good as or better then her other gems. Her voice sounded so great and the scatting with Mayfield is amazing. I am curious if the jazz community will appreciate or recognize it.

Also I was glad she was introduced as a young jazz singer with no mention of AI. Maybe Haley - Chapter 2 really has started in earnest and more is coming soon!

Maybe that was intentional because the preview of the event by the Chicago Reader discounted her Jazz chops due to her Idol ties. The timing is right for Chapter 2 though. She is nearly three years removed from Idol. If Haley has a big hit that puts her on the map, her abilities will be what's noticed and her Idol ties will be an afterthought.

What no Jazz chops? Ok Chi town reader I sure hope you listened to her a singing IF so retract the statement Dude she is in the Jazz zone.
