At least it's not a far drive from Hamburg airport to downtown, either by car or using the subway! I used to be able to sleep on my many X-Atlantic flights when I was younger, not anymore. Then the jetlag hits after arrival. But when the evening comes, it will be the morning in LA (minus 9 hours) so her system should wake her up if not the adrenalin, at least on the first night! Concert starts at 9 pm, so 12 LA time.

It is hard to know when she'll be arriving because she'll have switched planes at some ungodly hour in London. Paris, Amsterdam or Frankfurt, making it impossible to pick one out. A flight from New York landed earlier this morning, but it is the only direct one from the US today.

And yeah yeah yeah: the venue webpage says it "sold out"!
Same for tomorrow's concert here in Berlin, too!

Now all we need is a Haley sighting with the Elbe river and ship building cranes as a backdrop - munching down, of course, not a HERburger, but an honest hering-burger, typical for Hamburg (sour hering, pickle and onion on a crisp bun), sighing, nonetheless, "Oh my!", and remembering that the Beatles started out in Hamburg, too.

Good point XAtlantic, I imagine Haley is quite aware of the Beatles-Hamburg link. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if she saw Hamburg on the schedule around the dates she was available and thought something like "that's the place to start."

Just thinking, do mobile phones purchased in the US do European frequencies? Over here it always says whether a phone includes the US bands (nowadays they usually do, but maybe not the other way around)? Which would make it harder for her to have mobile internet access I guess.

Hamburg is such a great City, I am sure that Haley would have a ball in Hamburg if she had more time. Beside the harbor/Reeperbahn/Beatles area there is also a great downtown at the Alster river with all kinds of shops/boutiques in all price points. A true fashion shoppers paradise (just ask my daughters if you don't believe me). Hamburg also has a great music/theater scene.
Enough of me reminiscing, the Knust has a live feed on their website and I have been keeping an eye on it since it was was announced that Haley was performing there. I don't think that we will be getting video, it has been dormant the whole time.

Scott really does the details well. Update on FB with new upload of Haley's Habits video (which is good since the earlier uploads are pretty much dead now) and he put her Habits in the top position on his YT channel. Steve visited FB and gave a Wheeling shout out.

So no herringburgers in Hamburg - in Berlin the thing is Currywurst, a substantial sausage smothered in ketchup (red) or mayonnaise (white) or both (red and white) and topped off with some curry powder, all sliced into handy sections for quick eating. Nothing for vegetarians!

Let's hope she arrives to enjoy performing unstressed and enthusiastic and simply makes it over well. It is going to be the warmest day to date with a pleasant 16 degrees C and lots of sunshine. The venue is close to the Spree river that goes through town and the famous Oberbaumbrücke, with its towers
