American Idol alum @HaleyReinhart covers Radiohead's "Creep" ... & it's so very special: http://onair.rs/1Cvf1JI

Quote:The American Idol alum has put her own spin on Radiohead‘s 1992 debut smash single, “Creep,” with our favorite vintage cover band, Postmodern Jukebox, and it might very well be better than the original if that was even possible.
“One of the highlights of our recent European tour was Haley Reinhart’s masterful interpretation of our vintage arrangement of Radiohead’s “Creep” (originally performed on this channel by the amazing Karen Marie),” says PMJ bandleader Scott Bradlee. “I enjoyed it so much that I brought Haley into a studio in Zurich on our day off to record it. If you haven’t heard Haley sing this before, get ready for a truly remarkable performance. Oh yeah- and this was the very first take.”
Haley previously collaborated with PMJ for a rendition of Tove Lo’s “Habits (Stay High)” back in January, which the Swedish singer praised on Twitter.

This video is going to be huge.
Her voice is just magnificent.
Crafty Scott had this one in his back pocket for a couple weeks.

I have the suspicion that's PMJ's manager at work.

Let me get this straight, since @HaleyReinhart joined PMJ, @scottbradlee has, 4 the 1st time, twice, covered a song he already covered?
Scott Lurves Haley
If there was one thing I had to do in London, it was to video "Creep", The cover I heard in Lyon, drilled down to my soul, I instantly fell in love with it....looks like Scott must've known the first time he heard it in Lyon too So true, Tusk! I always have to play both the O2 and the Lyon versions consecutively (now, make that all three!); the O2 for the facial view which Lyon doesn't have, and the Lyon rendition for that last minute when she sings "that note" on the last "What the hell am I doing HERE?" (3:41). On the O2 she backs off that same spot by a third or a fifth (4:29). Can't blame her . . . her voice has to really take a beating on that song! Smart girl! Another thing I like about the Lyon one is to watch and hear the crowd go crazy on her last key change at 3:30. They are really in the palm of her hand! Now this one . . . in one take, no less!

I've never asked the Reinharts for anything, but I did ask Harry for one BIG favor, a while ago. I told him, I've always wanted to see Haley sing in England, so the one favor I asked was to get a heads up so I could try to plan to be there, if she ever played in Europe. That was over a year ago.
When I spoke with Harry about whether Haley was joining PMJ in Europe, Harry told me their manager was pressing REALLY HARD for Haley to join in, but she had other commitments (F is For Family, post production) that she had to fit around if she's able.
He told me she would fit in a 'show or two', but couldn't give me a date. Rather he gave me a 'range' which I knew might mean Paris or London....
I inquired about Haley's participation a day after I learned Casey was joining PMJ in Europe (3 days before it was officially announced)
Even back then, I think PMJ's manager knew Haley's drawing power

If there was ever a good time to fill that with a few more, at the least with a playlist pointing to Tusk videos, and also advertise LU and the upcoming EP a bit, that time would be right now ...
I got confirmation from Harry last night, they received the package, will be looking through it today
No word on when he'll get it to Haley. I think(hope) the newly re-edited Berlin black and white "Habits" has a good chance, as well as the new 'live performance' of "Dream a Little Dream.." and "Don't Know Why" have a good shot, IF she picks any (no promises )
Also, I really like the new edit of BGDays "What is and What Should Never Be" might make it, if Harry likes what I did with it
I'd like to think (hope) , despite being shaky ( ) the O2 "Creep" performance's audio will be good enough to post too (but unlikely cause of video )
