RE: Classic Metal Madness - Tusk - 08-03-2012
Try to imagine a Teen aged Tusk going on a drive to anywhere with his leather clad buddies Jammin' and head bangin' to some Priest
Rob Halford doing it the only way Rob Halford can to the dueling guitars of K K Downing and Glenn Tipton ....
I saw these guys live and a highlight was always Rob flexing his vocals on "Green Manilichi" (A Fleetwood Mac song, believe it or not)
One more classic from the Priest

Ha, I was a Fleetwood Mac fan going back to the days of Peter Green. I wrote here before about going to see F.Mac in the early 70s (Kiln House was the album at the time). They opened for Black Sabbath. At the time I was already sick of Black Sabbath. The concert kind of sucked because the members of F.Mac were drunk, and Black Sabbath was Black Sabbath.
As an aside, in 1973 I saw Cheech and Chong do a show. They walked on stage and Chong sez "Anybody got a joint?" and people started throwing joints on stage. Cheech gathered them and held them in his hands ... probably had 30-40 of them. Not metal, but a touch of madness.
Tower of Power opened for them..

DIO - Holy Diver
Metal Militia Warning: Negative comments about Black Sabbath are stricktly forbidden for anyone who would dare stream Tower of Power into a metal-head thread.

I knew I'd get in trouble for that. The whole metal thing must have gotten into my attitude. Bad boy.

Dr. J, Barring the damage done to this universe by that Pat Boone video, you have failed to answer the redemption question correctly and have thus also failed to redeem yourself (howbeit, it would appear that you simply overlooked the intentional tricky wording of the question). The correct answer is "B". You are therefore sentenced to 3 straight hours of focused and uninterrupted viewing and listening to that Pat Boone video.

I did misread it....and your sentence constitutes cruel and (very) unusual punishment.
