Yay Haley's attorney is looking into why Listen Up! was removed from spotify Smile #teamhaley

@Free_in_March We're actually looking into that now. No idea why it disappeared, but hopefully it will be back soon.

"Oh My!" and "Undone" - Himm2 - 07-08-2013

Just shows how Haley Reinhart was more in tune with what would sell off her album than the idiots at Interscope. We've seen "Oh My" and "Undone" used in quite a few entertainment releases to public viewing. "Free" kinda died on the Idol Results show stage. Her songs are starting to get in the mainstream almost as much as the overused "Home" by Philip Philipps which was playing in the surgical prep area of the hospital that my wife was in this morning.

Don't forget "Hit the ground running" . Actually, I bet Hit the Ground would have the highest "yes" answer rate to among random people to questions like : "Have you heard this song before" , "Is this a song you'd expect to hear at exciting moments at a stadium or other public venue" ...

It's just a matter of time till they get "Let's run away " in a few spots I wouldn't be shocked if ....well we've played that game before.

-----
I actually kind of liked the show.

I don' know if they'll have Haley's music* on it again but I think I could watch a few episodes of the show without feeling like fingers nails on the chalk board watching Glee. (Follow me I'm right behind you probably has a higher destiny than a crappy cable drama but I suppose familiarity wouldn't hurt it finding higher purposes ( not my field of business though.. love to hear the pro's and cons on that sort of thing from an insider)

I think it was parodying itself as it went right? It was walking a funny line between a sitcom and a soap opera.. more soap maybe but sort of in the way "the mentalist" is a comedy and a police drama ? (I only watched the mentalist for 1 season or so before I got bored. but still )... Good looking people with some sex appeal.... a few comic lines and a sort of thread of a story with "good guys" and bad guys is sort of fun. Maybe a lot of soap opera's are like that but when I watched a couple episodes of Nashville it sure seemed like the viewer was supposed to take it seriously.

A good old british farce that sort of plays things a bit maudlin while obstensibly carrying the serious story along is kind of fun..

I couldn't watch "glee" for the life of me no matter how many times i've tried... its is made for 12 year olds I suppose .. I like the adult humor and situations a bit more at my age. ; )

The single from the LU album that could do well is "Undone" and I don't know that Haley tunes into that. I'm not sure "Oh My" would have done much better as a single than Free. Despite the really nice exposure that "Oh My" got last night, the YT views of the song have not been impacted significantly. I found *two* new comments on three postings of the video. On the other hand Undone views took off immediately on release of that dance movie last year.

RE: Monday (7-8) "Oh My!" on VH1's "Hit the Floor" - Tusk - 07-09-2013

They aren't really comparable as far as exposure. This was the second (?) episode of a new show on a cable channel that once played music videos, but now seems to just broadcast low brow, limited audience shows. What's more we JUST heard about this through twitter.

Undone was used in a "major motion picture" that has a specific and focused fairly large niche market, distributed worldwide and played in theaters for weeks. The movie also had an in built market as it is part of a franchise and also built up an audience before its release.

No surprise they don't have similar results.

While Undone seems popular, it appears, Oh My has had more application/use as far as Ole has been concerned

Yea. IMO, "Oh My" is absolute ear candy, and could have been a "song of the summer." But..well good job whoever was supposed to market this fantastic pop album.

Not directly comparable but people quickly sought out Undone -- found it. Oh My may have more commercial applications (ESPN, Gossi Girl, etc) and it has been used more than once in promotions or or other media. But it hasn't generated much interest online. VH1 is a focused niche and the opening night of the show had 2.5 million viewers. While I agree that Step Up Revolution has a much bigger audience overall, it did 11,7 million in box office the first weekend which I doubt equals near 2.5 million viewers. The pop on Undone was immediate -- but nothing for Oh My. While the movie was on "the big screen", which may have a bigger impact than TV, people can record and rewatch the VH1 show. Real Music Live was a small audience, but a focused niche, and zero interest generated.

RE: Monday (7-8) "Oh My!" on VH1's "Hit the Floor" - Miguel - 07-09-2013

The premiere of HTF had 1.5 million viewers and an encore presentation later than evening made a total 2.5 million viewers. That was at the end of May. It's not clear how the ratings are holding up. This VH1 press release from late June does not mention the show but lists the viewership for five others: http://www.vh1press.com/vh1-primetime-ratings-grow-33-in-adult-18-49-demo-in-second-quarter-2012/

I think "Undone" resonates with people more than "Oh My!" but I don't think it would have fared much better than "Free" in terms of radio play. It's not poppy enough for a song from an unknown artist. If they led with "Oh My!" it might have received more radio play and that could have opened the door to "Undone."

Interscope did see potential in both.
