^ Excellent interview with Steven Tyler. I've always paid attention to the initial part where they speak about Haley, but just listened all the way through. Though it was a throwaway online interview, Steven Tyler is very open and it could have easily been (another) 60-Minutes piece.

The Earth song was one of Haley's best performances of the season
and Randy Jackson really destroyed it - that dumb ignorant YO-YO!!!
I love the passion that Steven Tyler showed in protecting her!

Robert Plant just opened a twitter acct & opened up to questions he would answer. One was, what's your favorite Zep song to sing live:

Leave it to Haley & her character to giggle when she tripped on the step. I bet most performers would have paniced and lost their place in the song...she hardly skipped a beat and closed the song with a flourish and a smiling dance. A true performer! I also much prefer Haley's less frantic version over the Led Zeppelin classic.
I saw Harry & that same burgundy guitar last night at the Skip Towne & the Greyhounds outdoor concert in the heart of downtown Arlington Heights last night. First time I saw that version of the very large band that Harry is in:
Skip Towne & the Greyhounds big blues band will be appearing at
'Sounds of Summer' - Arlington Heights - Vail & Campbell
Thursday, Aug. 8th (7:00-8:30)
Peter Quinn - vocals, Brother John Kattke - keyboards, vocals
Harry Reinhart - guitar, vocals, John Rice - guitar
Jay Olazek - bass, Jim Murray - drums, vocals
Tom 'Shoes' Trinka - sax, John 'Showtime' Janowiak - trombone
Doug Corcoran - trumpet
Come outside and play!
It was awesome. Patti, Angie, Angie's close friend & their guitar friend Nick Bell where behind the stage and I had a nice little chat with them.

I really enjoyed the interview a lot too. The questions that Ryan asked about other things were better than the ones ryan asked Steve about himself...but there were great answers to many .
He had some things to say you don't hear all the time and I really agreed with a lot of those things..especially about the natures of the "something special" that both singers and actors have.
I like the continued mention of actors because...well, ... that would take a Tom22 essay...not up to it today.
