The "Apostrophe S" doesn't look correct. What's the tiny line above "Hales & Casey's?"

it says Citywalk, LA
The song title itself could be considered a double entendre, so no surprise this play on the lyrics would also..
I agree the apostrophe S is a problem, I played around with the spacing, but couldn't get a satisfactory alignment. Now that i look at it, the apostrophe is too far out. I should be able to fix that, or maybe chose another font..

I also tend to listen to her performances handfuls of times in a row. (but I'd say most music I like...short list for sure... has that effect on me.. if I don't have more to enjoy on a deeper and deeper level on repeated plays I'm usually not very captivated in the first place)
I was also blown away by the top performance. I think I'd put it up in the top 30 or 40 Haley performances ever if the sound was a bit better.. Due to the device it was recorded on, the mid tones and richness were missing. I think some noise compression made Casey's guitar sound out of tune in places.
What I really dig about it is how they played off each other and sort of gave each other musical leads which the other echoed and passed back another idea, then they start finishing each other's phrases and seemlessly unite in harmony within the context. (
They throw out some thoughts in the beginning and make it clear to each other as they take their first solos.
Casey leads in with sort of stuttered rhythm(in just barely a bar or two), not exactly how they've done it always.... a pa-Tah chink , pa Tah chink on the guitar
Haley quickly(very quicky) starts mirroring it with the perhaps subtle but quite still noticeably different(from other times) accentuation points in her first solo notes.. and she throws back a bit more bluesy than usual sort of flutter, and cascade down in Do,,das do dos and they play on those combinations throughout. (way beyond my music theory, but is she using a tonic as the blue note rather than the original blues standard 7th ?... I'm almost hearing a a post blues jazz chords developed well past when the song became took on a big band sound like we heard on idol (more the concept/sound what Jazz meant in the 70's and 80's) laid attop a rhythm and base perhaps dating to before the song became a big band thing... sort of a Bahaus clean-ess laid attop muddy waters blues ?
How do they react so quickly ? Of course they know each other and know that sort of cascade is one of the beautiful arrows in Haley's quiver and she know's how Casey likes to chew on notes in a tune as well as how he'll establish the grooving rhythm unaccompanied on a guitar. (as opposed to having the "unplugged" kind of folk sound so many artists switch to "unplugged"... its got all the rhythm of a jazz drummer on a snare and symbol in addition to the sort of walking bass that is Casey's forte..
I think they actually impressed themselves ... Haley almost had a little bashful swoon look shaking hands(maybe the start to the swoon initiated near 3:02 ?) with Casey and Casey's "that was actually pretty good" was sort of like a "wow" restraining any conceit saying more would look like.
Of course that is "over thinking it" a feeble attempt to describe what i find so special about the performance
... I certainly only "just" enjoyed it the first dozen times I listened to it... but the more I listen the more I notice and anticipate (anticipation and fulfillment are real dopamine boosters for me)

When I watch that video, I usually follow it with listening to the other vid of just digital audio to catch all the colours of their performance.
That's why I posted the digital audio recording as well. (the video was from my camcorder off my computer monitor, since I haven't figured out how to record vid streams) I figured there was a chance the audio would be inferior through the camcorder.
I suppose I could post a third video replacing the camcorder audio with the digital audio...

Watch how they "watch" each other, particularly Haley watching Casey, searching for cues from the other person about which direction he/she is likely to go. It's almost as though they are reading each other's mind -- perhaps, they are.

I'm sorry I didn't notice that Tusk.
I really appreciate (maybe that word isn't exactly enough either) your efforts on these things. I would have missed this gem without out (and perhaps it wouldn't even be preserved?)
All told though... I like the first with the video as much as the second.. DONT change it ! Haley's voice is more pronounced relative to Casey's in the one with the video and the minor crowd noise and little bit of squeakyness is better than hearing more casey than haley. (one of Casey's best performances with her for sure.... he was alway there for her and didn't venture into things he didn't have a flare for)
