Buzzenator, I am so so sorry but yesterday Ticket Web ended up refunding me for the general admission tickets. I was shocked. Someone from the radio station even called me and apologized for VIP not becoming available. So I don't have the tickets anymore

I overthought this one...was waiting on Himm2 for an update on trying to pay Haley directly for VIP ticket, so she would make some side money. Anyway, when I contacted TicketWeb this morning about VIP tickets for the Minneapolis show...you guessed it, they are sold out.
Elizz, I'll probably take you up on the general admission ticket...need one and have to maneuver for a VIP upgrade somehowPM for details

Been a bit since I jumped in here but thought I'd share a very frustrating situation with y'all.
Steve (Himm2) invited us (Me and my "famous" Rebecca and Rachel) for Shindigs 5 & 6. We REALLY wanted to try and make them and meet some of the Halien Fam but logistics just were not (are not) working out, so...
I've been planning to go to Pittsburgh for Haley's June 18 show at the Stage AE Club. The timing is perfect. It's a Saturday. Just drive down from Rochester NY, about 4-1/2 to 5 hrs and get a hotel nearby to walk to and back after the show. Y'know...get there early, check in, site see a bit, soundcheck, M&G... all "right there." Super convenient and hassle-free. What could go wrong?
I found a couple GREAT locations, very short walk to the club. Awesome!!! The problem??? Not only are those hotels booked, pretty much everything else I checked was booked too...even the seedier places...any where NEAR Pittsburgh...unless I want to spend $500/night and most of them are gone too.
So, I'm thinking, "What the Hell is going on in town that weekend?" Oh....only the next MAJOR golf tournament of the season, the 2016 U.S Open Championship, at the Oakmont CC, 15 miles from where Haley's performing...ugh.
So, yeah...the closest Haley is coming to me and the girls just has to be the same weekend that every room near Pittsburgh is booked. Thinking we'll have to find a place somewhere along the half-way point down.
It changes the itinerary but we remain undaunted. After meeting Haley at the Buffalo PMJ show we can't wait to see her again...and in her OWN show! We even have a very special present for her.
Oh..and Steve...my sister, Leslie, that you went to High School with is planning to see H.E.R in Phoenix on the 9th.
And THIS, my friends, is why I seldom post. The rambling just won't stop!. And what makes it worse is that I'm at work. There must be SOMETHING else I should be doing, right?

When I went to see Haley in Austin, during SXSW, I was shocked by how much it cost to park in a nearby lot. My second night in Austin, I stayed at an RV park that had a few cabins. It was a tiny cabin with two single beds, a toilet and a shower. Plus a mini-fridge and microwave. The cost with tax was about $90, which I thought was a good deal given demand for lodging.
I just did a quick check for similar lodging near Pittsburgh. I only looked at one property. It has a two-day minimum stay and they want $134 a day.
There might be other campgrounds that are less. The property I checked had two cabin types, basic and deluxe (so did the one in Austin). The basic cabins don't include the bathroom and shower -- you're expected to use the public facilities on the grounds. So keep that in mind if you decide to explore this route.

I hadn't thought of looking into campgrounds, Miguel. Maybe because I was just thinking about laying over for the one night, but it was a great idea.
Anyway, checking my route put me driving right thru Grove City (about an hour North of Stage AE) so I checked a few motels there. One I would never go to alone, much less with my daughters. The Comfort Inn was booked but the Best Western wasn't, sooooo....
...we are good to go. Not quite what I had planned but I'll take it. My girls are more excited than I am. They absolutely ADORE Haley and are loving Better. We keep changing our minds and "fighting" about what songs are the best ones. It changes almost daily.

Great to see you checking in RinWNY! The Chicago Cubs are playing the Pittsburgh Pirates that weekend...unfortunately it's at Wrigley & not PNC Park or I would have been tempted to join you and your "famous" daughters there. As it is I am driving to Minneapolis for Haley's Show on June 13th and crossing Target Field off my Ballpark visit Bucket List the day before. Going there with Buzzenator & Pat, and Pat is driving back to Chicago with me for Haley's Chicago show June 14th. I considered going to Detroit for Haley's June 17th show but the Tigers aren't playing at home that weekend either. Detroit is almost as close as Pittsburgh thru Ontario to you isn't it RinWNY? If I was a tour obsessed driving whack job I'd drive 2400 miles and hit Haley's Minneapolis, Chicago, Detroit & Pittsburgh shows all in 6 days. I value my wife's respect of being sane more than that. If Haley had a show in our hometown of Rochester I'd be there however. This happened in Rochester almost 5 years ago:
