The performance of BHS by Haley for the PMJ PBS show and album "The New Classics (Recorded Live!)" sounds great. A bit more production on the recording than we usually hear on PMJ recordings.

Even though initially, iTunes store showed that it's 'album only' I followed Scott's link and bought it as a single.... (I'm still a bit sour they only gave Haley one song on a nationally aired special...)

I just bought BHS for now. Only one song but it is a kickass version of the song with the powerful ending. It will bring interest Haley's way. But yeah another song would have been appropriate.

I understand that PMJ is a collective, ALOT of talent Scott has gathered, but it's hard to dispute from how many of Haley's vids are in PMJ's top ten, that Haley is, if not among, their biggest draws/stars.....That they have All About That Bass on the album, a holiday special to be aired nationally, and NOT include Haley...I do support PMJ still, but it's hard for me, as a 'big' fan of Haley's to not feel a bit disappointed (I am SURE Haley doesn't have these feelings, she has always been supportive of every artist she's ever worked w/...this is my opinion only

Why 5 songs for Casey? Why BHS as the lone Haley song, which is by far her least viewed PMJ video? Why AATB w/o Haley? If you look at it subjectively though, it appears Scott is featuring the 'stars' who are currently touring with PMJ. It's not an all star PMJ lineup by any means- no Robyn, Puddles, Morgan, Von etc. This probably reflects the impracticality of bringing all these folks in for one show. I bet the PBS special grew out of the concept of filming a PMJ show live, with it's current touring lineup, and that the addition of Haley singing BHS at the end was a last minute decision. It also is in line with Scott's stated business model that there are no individual 'stars', that the PMJ concept and talented ensemble are the stars. These are just my thoughts. For the record I've only bought the BHS single so far also. I'll watch the special when it's on and then decide.

I bought the BHS single and think I love it a bit more then the original PMJ version or maybe its just hearing a “new” version. I think it is a really good showcase for Haley’s voice and I can’t wait to see it on PBS.
While I wish there was more Haley in the show, I agree with the comments above that Scott needs to maintain a sustainable cast and he wants to downplay her precence as “the” reason for going to a PMJ concert.
