New dance video from Russia:
"Undone" was used in a dance-oriented movie, but I don't see why it's so popular with dancers. It never seems, to me, that their movements are interpreting the lyrics.

I think it's more emotional interpretation rather than rhythm and technique....

It is probably my favorite, so hear comes the defense. She said it is "a little bit hard", not that she does not like to sing it.
She loves acting, and all singers have to get into the song to really get it right. She did that all season long and does it with many covers, I don't have to list them again.
There are a number of songs from her album I would say she has not showcased as prominently, (rather than "not embraced" ), but you have to make choices along with the record company. I wonder what would have happened if Undone had been THE single.
It is a little bit hard for her, emerging from her omnipresent force field of awesomeness, to get into character to slay this epic ballad that she co-wrote, but slay it she does.

I think it's a hard song for her to sing too because the chorus is so simple..."undone..undone..undone..." like, on an album track, the repeating sounds fine...live though, I'm sure it's a little weird.

Not quite -- as Tusk informed us earlier this week:
Quote:Nope, she couldn't warm up to it because it was too "down" and she's an upbeat kind of person so had a hard time connecting with it. She also is well aware that people connect with it, but still hesitates with it....
I just happened to be looking at the last couple months of Haley videos on Youtube and in this interview from Taiwan, she explains her hesitating with "Undone". It's not the first time, she's expressed this about "Undone", but the most recent time she's expressed her feelings about singing it.
Undone, is a little bit.. hard for me, only because I'm a very happy person...and it is very sad. I mean, it's kind of a tear jerker, and you know even people that have listened to it for the first time, they said that they...cried. And that's...Crazy to me, uh and it's a ballad you know and I'm a much more a 'uptune' person, but uhm, I know that it connects with people alot, so I think that that's a wonderful thing, it's just that it's difficult, a little bit, when I'm not feeling in that sad place, you know what I mean? I gotta do a little bit of acting (giggle)....
Starting @2:55
Also in a very early interview, she kind of mentioned that they 'hinted' that the album needed a ballad, so she was helped to write "Undone"....so even at that stage of the game, she was hesitating about that kind (sad) of song....

I've heard her parents sing a hundred songs and I can't think of one that is truly a sad depressed ballad. Guess it runs in the family. With her interest in being a motivational speaker that doesn't jive with forlorned mopping.

Well, I'm sorry but Haley doesn't have to cry singing the song.... We do .. And she should be touched that we are crying. So honey just stand up there, smile, and sing your heart out!
Maybe if she sings it more, shell get over feeling sad singing it. It will just become another song in the repertoire.
Was that mean to say?

No, Babbs, it wasn't mean to say in any way/shape/form.
But it still may not convince Haley that she should start singing this song.
