Ah crap...the White Sox just rescheduled the Sunday May 12th game from 1:10 to 7:05 at night, probably because ESPN picked it up as the Sunday Night Game of the Week. But if Haley sings it will have national TV exposure! It will be "Family Sunday" which means almost half-price tickets and the giveaway is a Mother's Day Tote bag for women over 14 years old and I guess all women here are slightly older than 14.

What a fun, exciting night I had at "The Drunk Whisperers" CD Release party. This band is a 6th iteration of groups that Harry Reinhart performs in and they sounded really great. Patti Reinhart arrived after the first set was done and Harry brought her up on stage to sing the chorus of two songs and then had the Mic all to herself to sing "Since I Fell For You" and when she held a very high register note the crowd went wild!
At the first set break I approached Harry with our Halien Party Plans to see what he thought of the feasiblity of the concept. He was quite interested as we talked about it for about 10 minutes but he said getting a venue to contract with Haley for a performance might be a near impossible task. He says Haley can't book something directly, Her Booking company makes all those decisions and negotiations and that sometimes goes nowhere. He said "Viper Alley" has been trying to get Haley for many months unsuccessfully and Viper Alley is the same group that owns the HOME bar in Arlington Heights. We might be better off if everyone needs a live Haley performance in order for them to fly cross country for a party to schedule it when Haley already has something booked in place, like a Lollapalooza or Hard Rock Chicago.
When the show ended I went to Patti's table and she wanted me to sit down with her & her sister. I was there for about 20 minutes intermitently discussing our plans. She wasn't as discouraging about the Haley part as Harry was and got a bit excited about the concept. She mentioned that May 14th is annual (officially declared) "Haley Reinhart Day" in Wheeling and thought the timing was cool to get Haley home for Mother's Day and the 2 year celebration of her hometown celebration. She welcomed the idea of attending a party in my backyard stadium and said it would be more comfortable if the Sox got Haley to sing just the National Anthem. That could be the Saturday 6PM game 5/11 on Paul Konerko bobblehead giveaway night vs. the Angels.
So bottom line, It might be more likely that we could show Tusk's Vegas & Lollapalooza videos with Haley attending and chatting with us at a party than her performing a full live show, or just have us attend the equally enjoyable live performance of the Reinhart's Midnight Band at a venue that they can control without a booking agency. Everything else in the plan could possibly work and Patti can help in the planning.

^ Thanks C. Dinkens for the update. If Haley knew that a large group of Haliens were interested in coming to Chicago for a live performance in her hometown, along with all the local Haliens that would be interested, wouldn't she get behind it? I mean who has the biggest impact on where she wants to perform...this is Haley we are talking about right? The girl who jumped in and co-wrote her entire album (Free disclaimer inserted here), the maybe your second song will be better performer (yeah, you got a second song), the such a fighter girl (hat tip to Ryan Seacrest)...this is the singer we are talking about right?
If I am Haley I would love to perform at a club in Chicago for all my fans...(insert Haley Yell here)
...creating what may become the annual Halien pilgrimage to Haleypalooza.

I would love all of these. If she had a gig planned there already, we could go there to see the performance, then have the "private" party with Us and the Reinharts later....this way we get our personal intimate time we're all dying for, as well as some performance time.
I told my hubby about it last night, so I'm for sure a go. Notice I didn't say "asked" him!

Sounds like it's starting to come together a little! I'd be happy just to have the 2nd idea of watching videos at your house and having her be there to hang out with us!
