I'm honestly not crazy about Free at that tempo but I really enjoyed Keep Comin' Back.Notto is clearly enjoying himself and the band sounds tight.Seeing Haley grooving along with the guitar solo makes you wonder what it could all be like if they could play together regularly.And good to see that rocker chick is alive and well.

Yep...sent to Harry yesterday just before the Boston Marathon Bombing happened. I bet Harry can really appreciate John Notto's guitar solo and I'm sure it reminds Haley of what it's like to perform with Daddio.

Oh-don't get me wrong-I'm all for experimentation-its just for me,at least this version of Free didn't work too well.But that's what going out on the road with a band affords you-the chance to try new things-change the tempos,arrangements,open things up for solos,trading,not to mention giving Haley the chance to develope as a performer.And Keith Phelps is the type of guy who would get bored playing everything the same way all the time so he's the perfect foil for her.And I thought the guitar solo was very tasty and will probably put a smile on Harry's face.
These guys all obviously enjoy this gig and you just hope that with whatever else happens down the road that they can do this on some kind of regular basis.

Kaypea, it's unfortunate that you don't care for this song at this tempo. I think this (and the Vegas version) are far, far better than the "official" released version.
Gulp --OK -- in the past, I've sort of danced around the fact that I don't care for this song. My dislike has nothing to do with the way Haley sings it.
Given what I look for in music, musically, this not a good song. The lyrics may be wonderful (as Haley says, it's an "emotionally mature break up song"), but the melody and accompaniment -- umm -- lack a great deal, to put it as gently as I can. And, while I know that I come into this with a decidedly different musical perspective, I've got too much musical background, training, and intuitiveness to not have a reasonable idea of what "good" is (now that grunge and rap/hiphop aren't the only things heard).
So, Kaypea, when you say this version of "Free" didn't work, I can only assume that it didn't work for you. But that doesn't mean that others wouldn't like it.

I like both versions of Free. I think my all time favorite is from the final night in Las Vegas (which unfortunately was never recorded). Haley put everything she had into that one and it was extremely emotional. Remember that one, Yanni?

I sure do Swan, that was also my all time favorite version of Free. Haley's vocals and the feeling she put into that performance were amazing, and Keith and Courtney were really feeling it as well.
