This is what I was thinking.... Hire Haley, Her Sis, Mom and Dad (and recently I've added Haley's band and Casey) to perform a private event for some of us 'long time' Haliens.
The set would include a handful of each, Haley's, Casey's originals, a couple of duets.... I would love to hear "Bennie and the Jets" live, and have Haley do a Heart song, "Barracuda" "Straight On" or "Magic Man" and end it with The Reinharts doing a medley of Beatles songs of their choosing. (the last songs need to be "Golden Slumber, Carry that Weight, and The End" by the Beatles)
I would then try to get Interscope, or whoever it involves, to allow us to record the event and sell it with all proceeds going to a musical foundation run by the Reinharts to encourage aspiring young and talented musicians....
A little bit of something for everyone....

Well, yes, "A Boy Can Dream" ... and sometimes those dreams can meet fruition.
I'm not interested in trying for one of your "Lolla" tickets should you win them, but should you hit your "Haley Lottery" jackpot, I'd be honored to be considered one of the 'long time Haliens', although I don't know how you are defining that (I'm hoping from the Haleyloonies thread). I'd love to be a part of an initimate concert such as you are suggesting, and I love the idea of a foundation to encourage and support aspiring young talent.
I am amused, however, by your idea that the Reinharts can do a "medley of their choosing" but must include the songs that you listed. Unless they would have automatically chosen to include those songs, that might limit their choice, might it not? (LOL-- the songs are wonderful, and I can't imagine Harry, Patty, Haley or Angie objecting, but I believe you get my gist.)

Haleyloonies is a badge of honor IMO, back in the days of little Haley news and using a 'comment's' section instead of a blog for our Haley fix.... well that's just plain nuts LOL
As Slezak had coined "we're a little obsessed"When I said songs of their choosing, I meant 3 or 4 of the Beatles' catalog (I'm thinking we're already pushing pushing 2 hrs at this point)... and attach the "Golden Slumbers-The End" at the end, I just think those three songs would be a hell of a way to end the set and show

Funny after all those versions of BATJ when she was touring.... and I still would love to hear her belt it out LIVE "Bennie, Benniieee and the Jeeeetss!"

Yah the feminine shoulders are always a plus, the hoop ear rings are also a favorite, and the straight hair is a fine 'cherry on top' to the ensemble.
She really hit a home run with that look. Simple and effective.

As for my hopes and dreams being crushed by this tragic news, no worries; for there is still a small window of time open for persuading Fireman Bob that his primordial instinct to spend two weeks roaming around in the mountains shooting forest animals with his friends is not so worthy of his vacation time that he can't shave a few days off for taking me to see Haley Reinhart at Lollapalooza. I haven’t even tried extortion or blackmail yet, so I figure the odds are still in my favor (barring the strong possibility of me getting run over by a fire truck in the process).
As for that “buzzenator” contestant… well hell’s bells… he sure proved to be a worthy opponent and a fierce competitor didn't he… I thank him for a good game and hope he too has a Plan-B.

When I reflect back, it's really interesting to consider the various contributions that we Haliens add to haleyfans.com. It's quite remarkable, really!
Which makes me realize, haleyfans.com has recently had or is quickly approaching it's first anniversary (I'm not exactly certain when that date was/is).
Therefore, I offer a toast: To Miguel, whose unceasing and tireless efforts have brought forth upon Haliens a wonderful meeting point for a variety of delightful discussions and listening! Long live Miguel!
