Of the 7 Listen Up CD's I bought I have 5 left... 3 deluxe signed on the cover and 1 regular signed on the CD. I sold one other one to OzHaleyfan in Australia and another to a guy in Pennsylvania. Still have my autographed flipbook plus all the other goodies Haley signed for me. Amazon should be adding to my collection soon.

Unsolicited praise is always nice, especially with some of the vile and unreasonably vindictive 'haters' that seemed to have popped up recently.
Then again, we've always known every person that has interviewed her, performed with her, worked with her or has given an 'honest ear' to her music has had the same reaction, that she is unique and talented and has a real future in music.

It's all about the money - they track all the expenses they have incurred - studio time, promo and management fees and if they can recoup in in X amount of time the artist is fine if not they are on the block. Nothing is free and the artist must pay them back for their investment.

Of course it's all about the money and Interscope has many expenditures when producing an album or should I say recording, and recording is the biggest expense. My question is it seems like there was more debits then credits. And wondering how much Interscope did recoup for the small amount of sales of her album. So this has been haunting me for a while, is she out free and clear? Or does she still Interscope huge amount of money. And as long as songs from listen up are still being played there has to be some royalties from that to go to the artist, or Interscope will act as a debt collector and confiscate all the proceeds. Hard way to make a living yes? Anyway Im done with the Ranting, looking for the best to come to Hales.

I could be wrong, but I don't think that's how it works.
Interscope made an investment in Haley. They chose not to continue to make that investment. I think their losses are their losses.

Thanx merc3 . Their losses are just that, but I'm sure financially the company is big enough to recoup those losses, maybe they' will just write it off I don't know how that works. But it does set my mind a little more easily if you are right that the Hales wi llnot to be locked up in a financial battle with a huge record company for years to come. A lawsuit like that with Interscope could definitely cause you shipwreck.

Yep...no way they could put Haley on the hook for any loss of production costs/profits. There was no breech of contract on Haley's part. If they take a loss on their investment (which I doubt will happen in the long run) it's gotta be on their nickel. My guess is there's been well over a half million dollars in CD sales so far.
