Casey gets the most out of that guitar, though, at times playing bass, rhythm and harmonies with one strum on the strings, it felt like he was getting multiple 'instruments' out of the sound of just playing one

I was so moved by this Stage It that I've been playing their version of Faithfully sans Paul for the last hour, half praying they'll reprise it one day. Their chemistry really is a joy to witness and I can't stress that enough. They have an incredible feel and ear for each other which I absolutely love.

We always think of "Casey and his bassy" because that's how we were initially introduced to him, but in reality, Casey seems to know his way around almost anything with strings (I don't know if he's played around on harp, but that doesn't fit his image), and he's very good with them. He really does make the most of a guitar.
Initially, I had wondered if the StageIt show was a means of presenting to most of us the show Caley will perform in Cancun. But given the most recent post on the Cancun thread, maybe not.

I listened to the live show... but the volume was way too quiet for me ...even full volume at all sliders with my headphones on (so much better quality sound than 98% of computer speakers .. and usually louder than those speakers can go without distortion).
This recording let me play it louder than the live performance (whatever you or youtube did in the uploading process) . As you guy's may remember I almost always love the live recordings Yanni puts up .. he told me that he uses a free program called Handbrake to "web optimize" the video for youtube . I'm curious.. did you use something like that Stairway ?
I didn't use any program, just uploaded the file that was saved from the live stream. The volume was low, but I thought it was listenable.
After reading your post, I tried making the audio louder, and was getting a slight hiss/noise in the background due to amplification. Also, had trouble aligning the louder audio with video.
Maybe I'll try again, and if it's good, will post it on YT.

I noticed the same thing with my audio. I also brought up the audio recorded from my laptop and I could hear a distorted low hum as well as some crackling and popping, which I attributed to my trying to 'clean up' the sound and didn't notice at the time.
I did the same thing for my vid of their red carpet 'Moanin" and that didn't happen, so I figure it must be coming from the feed. Either way, the audio, at least, was better than either of their previous StageIts

Funny you should post that Tusk...as I was watching "The Voice" tonight to help me compare Monica Lee's rendition of "Hit The Road Jack" and she's not even close to what Haley can do for the song! Monica was eliminated in the battle rounds by Kat Robichaud who coincidently sang Alainis Morrisette's "You Outta Know" that Haley also covered. I have to say the drama that Kat put into her performance of that song was very impressive but she's more vixen-like than Haley and the judges never should have dumped that song on Haley who is too sweet for the digging grit of it.
Miguel - feel free to move this if it's more appropriate in "The Voice" thread but Tusk inspired me to post it here.

Tusk- thanks for posting those gems. I had recorded the audio from "I Feel the Earth Move" from one of the longer videos posted, but it was not loud enough. The sound in your version is much better so I will grab this one instead. I also forgot how good "Hit the Road Jack" really was - again - taking a song I have heard many times and making it fresh, original and crazy good.

I'm kind of annoyed I didn't enhance the audio when I did the vid for "Sally's Song", I was thinking of more of the images to use and pacing and forgot to do anything to the audio....
(Kind of cool to get unexpected approval from Haley, though
)Also, I discovered that when the image is blank and there is only audio, you tend to focus on the audio (duh
), your attention is enhanced to the audio, which is a good lead in to the songs, sort of like a wind up into the songs into the video. Like on Stagit's "My Cake" and the recently added IFTEM, without the video, you can focus on that Haley has pretty good rhythm on her 'Hand solo'
