Will be leaving tomorrow sometime around 9am ish...4 hour drive. Got a room at the Cosmo for cheap with my friend because her sister works at the Marriott (who owns the Cosmo, I had no idea) and we got a room for $105 which we are splitting the cost.
Then I will be leaving Friday morning, so we can be back at work by 3:30pm. I wish I could stay for all 3 nights, but I am so excited that I'm even going to be there for just one!
For those who went last time, is there anything I should know? Like exactly where it is? What time I should get there? Are there any camera restrictions? Please let me know.
Short spontaneous trip but for Haley, it is worth it.
Cool! Glad you decided to make the trip. You won't be disappointed. As far as finding the Chandelier, it's easy. It right there to your right as you enter the Cosmo's front entrance. It is very hard to miss since it looks like a giant chandelier. Since the show starts at eight you can get there any time before that. I think some of us will be there by 6 or 6:30, but even if you get there earlier there is plenty to do, what with the casino floor being right there.

Canon 5i from Costco, $200 off, two lenses, extra battery pack and charger, 16 mb, speed 10, memory card ( might get bigger one tomorrow), all the cables and a big carrying case, which I didn't bring

I'm thinking about bringing my Canon t2i with 50mm lens to take some pictures for tomorrow night...would that be weird or no? I'd love to get some HQ shots of Haley

Can't be too sure... It sounds like it should be OK. I think its the large lenses that make them nervous.. You're staying @ the Cosmo so, if you have to switch lenses it would be no big deal, you'll be close enough you shouldn't need anything big anyway.

Like mine, should be ok

I just don't want to bring my big dslr way to heavy. But I can take the powerpack out of it and switch to a 60 mm macro lens and it will be ok
