listening on headphones sounds not as good, I see(hear) what you're talking about now, Tom.....it's more muffled than I thought listening through the first time on my laptop's speakers.
It seems a lot of it is a muffled mic, It also sounds like a lot of compression going on too... I'm no audio tech, so I don't know..
Still .... again, grateful to have what we get and two new Haley rock n roll covers

Laroi's solo was -- hmmm -- unexpected, to say the least. And then that it had a sort of unstructured "jazz" bent to a tune that's been bopping along in a quasi/pseudo reggae rhythm -- and that it all worked?
Genius!! (This, folks, is why I love jazz -- well, it's one of the reasons I love jazz!!) Fabulous and so fun!
I had the same reaction you had. When he first started messing with the time and playing against the beat and all I was like-"say what?".because it seemed to come out of nowhere. But I'm a jazz lover as well and to me it was short and sweet and it just breaks it up a little bit.

Well, the sound quality is not all that for sure on these Foster Festival videos, but still, it is great to see these performances and as Tusk notes, we get two new scorching rock covers.
By the way, she is just so much fun to watch, with her swaying, spinning, smiling, pointing, gesturing, playfulness---so much charisma on stage...wow.
In my opinion, I think we could consider the Foster Festival her first real "concert" in the sense that she played an hour and 20 minutes at least with a full band, did extended jams on some songs, and allowed the band to break out and do some great solo work, especially John shredding on the guitar. And, she worked the stage and the crowd like a star performer. I hope it is a sign of things to come.....

^^^^ I was thinking there were flashes of the young Stevie Nicks on stage

Is it my imagination or does it seem like Haley is getting better and better with each outing?

Interesting comparison Tusk! I can see that. Haley just needs some flowing top to add to her twirling and spinning.

I agree rmd. And Haley does show a lot of charisma on stage. Ya can't take your eyes off her and she is a lot of fun to watch! A star in the making!!!

I agree with all the comments about Haley's growth as a performer. She seems very confident, comfortable and in her element on the stage. I also loved hearing her sing new songs. I continue to be amazed at how her version and voice are so recognizable and raise a song to the next level. IMO I think that the Haley 'sound' is the key ingrediant that will bring her the most success. Anyone can have a hit single but when an artist has a voice and sound that you can immediately recognize I think long term success is much more likely.
