RE: Haley Reinhart Album #4.... - Tusk - 03-27-2019 Forbes Magazine Article ![]() RE: Haley Reinhart Album #4.... - ISCAT4HALEY - 03-27-2019 I have always preferred jazz over any other genre. The reason I love Honey, There’s the Door so much. However, Haley’s music has changed all that. Haley fuses all types of sounds and vibes not specific to any one particular genre not only between songs but within the structure of each one making all the songs unique and great. Broken Record is one example to me and so it is hard to pick a favorite. That being said, Some Way Some How is at the top and probably won’t change over time like the other songs. For me, Haley’s ballads are like no other. The passion Haley sings them with is so gorgeous and beautiful and brings out a lot of emotion. Some Way Some How is that in spades just as Undone and Love Is Worth Fighting For. And the inclusion of the strings is incredible. There’s the string harmonization, it just gives me shivers. Lay It Down is another lovely piece. I can’t get enough of this album because it is so different and brings out Haley’s personality in full force. The choruses and vocal harmonies are pure bliss. I think her best work and production so far. My top five at this time are: Some Way Some How How Dare You Shook Broken Record Honey, There’s the Door Currently, #10!!!!! Alternative RE: Haley Reinhart Album #4.... - Tusk - 03-27-2019 H/T Brandon, #50 overall chart ![]() RE: Haley Reinhart Album #4.... - Tusk - 03-27-2019 #9 Alternative Rock H/T Devin ![]() RE: Haley Reinhart Album #4.... - XAtlantic - 03-27-2019 I would not call it a routine just yet, but as with the last 2 albums I did do my HER new album routine: get up early, brew a fresh morning coffee, buy and download the album, and have a first listen! For me, it is too early to really comment - as with so much of Haley's music it is something that lives and grows, and like with any good relationship, develops over time. But today this journey has begun, how exciting! I might be in a minority here but the song that immediately grabbed my attention and personal No. 1 spot, including after more listens to all of the album, is "Lay It Down". Absolutely superb, to my ear and senses. And I agree with other comments: "Some Way Some How" is a sleeper gem, it'll emerge in full glory once noticed. "Baby Doll" for me is a solid song, but some of the turns are maybe slightly too obvious? Which maybe means, I guess, it has the potential to be popular/mainstream? But it does have a floating quality that seduces. Not as much a spontaneous fan of "Deep Water", though any Haley song is a win. "How Dare You" is intriguing - despite disguising as vibes of the past I think that under the hood of this song there is a very contemporary style of music - this is not throw-back at all, I think. "Shook" has a lot going on, which for me is a total positive, reminds me of all the things that went down in the songs on "Better", an album I never have stopped admiring for its many layers. And of course DKHTLY, already familiar, is fantastic. We have 4 albums from HER now, it is amazing. Lots to be thankful for. RE: Haley Reinhart Album #4.... - alpha7388 - 03-27-2019 I believe this is her best album and deserving of awards and other big things. What a great tour this will be with this new material. Thank you so much Haley for this showcase of work. RE: Haley Reinhart Album #4.... - Rcul4u998 - 03-27-2019 Now #6 Alternative, #38 Overall! I think this is her highest charting album since Listen Up on iTunes! I believe Better only made it to #44 (but I might be wrong!) RE: Haley Reinhart Album #4.... - Nicicarus - 03-27-2019 Now #5 alternative and #35 overall ?? RE: Haley Reinhart Album #4.... - ButterandBloom - 03-27-2019 (03-27-2019, 05:22 PM)Nicicarus Wrote: Now #5 alternative and #35 overall ?? Yes, 5 & 35 right now and still climbing. I've listened to this album several times now, and I love it. I've decided I don't have a favorite, nor a least favorite. I really enjoy all the songs, and the mix of moods from one song to the next - not a bad one in the bunch. Best album yet! When I listen to Haley's albums I always think it will be impossible to duplicate the sound of many of the songs because of the multiple parts. How can there be 2 Haleys at the same time? Yet, amazingly, they always seem to be better live than recorded. I can hardly wait for the tour.
