I’m guessing Jenny just forgot to finish the sentence: “…so we couldn’t let THAT happen, you uber-talented bitch!” Then, in a final eff you to the spiral-haired crooner, the judges unceremoniously dumped both of Haley’s duet partners, fully grown artists with souls who might make great music someday. What a hideous thought! Trot out the commercially viable teens at once!

I don't think one can draw conclusions about the quality of mentoring based on a minute of Idol edited video, which gives the impressions they want to give. However, Adam did seem pretty uptight and Haley's playfulness may have been a good way to loosen him up. It didn't carry over to the performance though. I agree with Keith that he was too stiff and Harry's comment about him being hurt by singing on the beat is right on. His singing was paint by numbers. I'm sure it wouldn't have been his first choice in songs.

I thought she was a fantastic mentor. She gave some great advice; it was up to the contestants whether they took it or not. Also, they only had three days together, and a lot of that time was split between the two contestants; rehearsal time was probably also limited to all of the contestants in general.

She did a really good job and really looked like a music star. I have always loved her sense of fashion. This nothing but helped Haley in a really good way. All her sales number got a bump and have moved up on the charts. Hopefully this radio promo pans out for her in releasing her album and getting some radio play for one of her songs *fingers crossed*.
