Oh yeah , that would freak me out too. Goes to show ya how good you have to be to get up there and sing in front of so many people. It's so easy for those couch potatoes to say "Oh, she forgot the words" etc. None of us know what its like to actually stand there on that field and represent your country and sing the National Anthem!! Bravo Haley!!

Oh yah, you can really hear the delay in that vid. That would so freak me out. But Haley killed it- She "murdered" it! I can't help but put my hand over my heart and get a little teary-eyed when Haley Reinhart is singing the National Anthem. And it kind of pisses me off that so many people don't show respect for their country these days during the National Anthem (like that guy in the red shirt behind Haley in the other video, texting). Do these people even know the history of their freedom and the song and why it's still performed at baseball games (Wiki it Maybe)?
But most of all, I really look forward to the day when everyone doesn't feel they need to add the "American Idol" part to their introductions of Ms. Haley Reinhart.

Lovin... I'm lovin what ya just wrote here!

The earbuds are the same concept as having hot spots (small audio speakers) in the front of a band at various locations so the band members can hear what they're playing.

It is. A local radio station occasionally plays an audio clip of a man speaking at a college-related event. He hears his voice on the PA and it throws him for such a loop that he begins speaking very slowly - not saying a sentence and stopping but rather drawing each word out. It's hilarious. Wish I could find it online.
