PS. IMHO, you most always post with wisdom and likeability!
Tnx LovinDa
I've decided to walk down memory lane and search out 'unplugged' performances of my old time favorites
Audio only

May I return the favor:
The Corrs - Only When I Sleep (Unplugged)
Fleet Foxes - Blue Ridge Mountains (Unplugged)
This one grows on me more with every viewing and listening. Sometimes it really does pay off to stop and smell the roses.
RE: Various Live Performances (Unplugged) - Tusk - 08-24-2012
You can dish me a helping of The Corrs, anyday .
I've said it before, these women have an unearthly talent and beauty. Can't take my eyes off them and they harmonise so well with each other. Add a touch of Celtic flavor and their music is almost dreamlike
Does it count if it's an "Unknown" as long as it's unplugged?
I started following the songs of this Portugese musician, maybe since '08 when she was 18, I think...
Her name is Ana Free, she has a textured voice like another singer we may know...
Angie
For some reason, this cover pulls at my heart strings...Ana covers Bic Runga's Sway
One more, an original called "The Rain"
I stopped following after discovering Haley....looks like she is building a nice little career for herself in Europe

Her and me look enough alike to be 1st cousins, so hell yes she counts!
"One good turn deserves another" (Bert from Sesame Street):
Alex Clare - Too Close (Unplugged)
Agnes Obel - Just So (Unplugged)
Hindi Zahra - The Man I Love (Unplugged)

She seems to have lost a 'scary' amount of weight now....hopefully she watches that
BTW, Hindi Zahra was a very unexpected surprise, thnx . Nice combination of vocals and instrument make this performance full of atmosphere and a pleasure to listen to, reminiscent of the old school, smokey bar singers

Who? Hindi? I ask because I don't think I've ever seen her heavy. Have you? Or are you talking figuratively?
Paramore - Misery Business (Unplugged)

No, I mean Ana Free, the portugese artist I posted.... She has a friend who is also Portugese, they came out of the same music school. Her Friend, "Mia Rose" hit the youtube about the same time Ana did, but has a huge number more views.
There was a joke, Ana and Mia... or Anarexic and Bulemia by their haters, mostly because, as young girls, they were pretty skinny, so haters made fun of the coincidence with their names. It seems like Mia looks Healthy, but Ana is really skinny now.

I actually spotted Mia first from this very cute, quick cover of "Crazy Girls"
I ended up liking Ana more, because her music had more to it, than Mia who went the 'pop' direction.
Here is a song they collaborated on when they were something ridiculous like, 15.... very talented IMO
This is a nice quick cover by Ana I liked
She has a really gorgeous tone to her voice IMO

Hindi Zahra! Awesome.
Ana has a lot of Youtube followers. YT is really establishing itself as an outlet for aspiring artists. I really like Ana's cover of Learn to Fly.

Cat Stevens, "Teaser and the Firecat" was my dad's favorite albums, and is also one of my faves.
Suzanne Vega and Jewel always demand a round of applause- Two of the most talented singer/songwriters ever, IMHO.
A few of the other vids are faves also, but I've already either commented on them or posted them elsewhere, which is to be expected having so many videos as we do.
As for Anna Free, we might look related and have blood from neighboring countries, and her singing is solid enough, but meh, not my cup of tea.
