That's the thing, Tusk. I just don't know if Haley and I also should clarify, the whole kareoke thing I discussed, wasn't Melinda performing for us, it was her performing off and on WITH us. Also, although people flew in from all over the world for the party, she isn't as "big" as Haley is, and it was approximately 25 people. total. I think a LOT of people would show for something with Haley...it could be overwhelming.

We need a concrete plan, a venue, a time of the year, and a yes from Haley!!

I'm already in my parallel universe...
2 options:
Option 1: We have a HF.com party in Himm's backyard in front of the baseball shrine that is converted into the Haley shrine. We invite the Reinharts and Haley...grille up some polish sausage and wash it down with a few brewskis. If things work out Haley might even sing a song or two, depending on how many brewskis she can down.
Option 2: We follow the RMD plan of finding a hall/club/bar that will handle 300-500 people and engineer a Haleypalooza (the name of which Sir Buzz came up with btw) and all the options that go with that...invite Irvin Mayfield, Casey, the Rastatutes, whomever, etc. Tickets required, like Stageit only live!
I vote for option 2...and Himm2 to organize...

I would be thrilled if something like this really happened and I would be there! As noted, a lot has to happen--with the first being someone talking to Haley and family. But the longest journey begins with a single step....

Option 2 gets my vote.And I like the idea of inviting Casey. He might just show up, if he's able. The Reinharts do know his parents and maybe could intercede on our behalf. ( If we need to)

300 to 500? Hiring security would have to be a consideration with those numbers
I think tops 80 to 90 might make the trip depending on the variables, and also enough advance notice would determine how many would go. The more notice given, the more people have the chance to plan for it. I just have my doubts as to how many would actually make the trip. I keep on going back to the 200,000+ twitter followers yet sales barely broke 60,000.
When it comes to following tweets with actual action, the numbers don't add up
Even with attendance of 100, that could be quite a feat of organizing if it were to happen at a residence: security, parking, hotel stay, refreshments, toiletries, clean up and so on., especially when you are talking about coordinating with so many from all over the US, if not the world...
The 'easiest'/least trouble way is to rent a banquet room like Nug talked about, (bars are out if you want to allow Haley's younger fans to be able to go).
But even then, someone would have to volunteer to foot the bill re: deposit/organizing/refreshments and that doesn't even go into getting some kind of confirmation or deposit from those who want to attend. In this circumstance, there is always the chance whoever foots the bill will be left holding the bag if people don't follow through and don't go or not pay...
It's quite a big responsibility to take on for anyone

We could do like a Mini Woodstock a weekend party. Not to cool for hales to sing songs everyone says bye .Some would be comming many miles for this. Thats something to think over
