I was in the north woods, communing with my spirit and nature...however, thank God I installed a satellite dish. That was one of the greatest Stanley Cup finals I have ever watched...the whole series! I missed some of the games, but saw most of the final game, especially the end. As JLo would say "Amazing...you have one of the best voices in the competition"...well, that was some of the best hockey I have ever seen. Congrats Chi-town Hawks!
Holding Pond thoughts for Captain Dinkens...the good news:
1. You now have lakefront property.
2. Water hazards make golf courses more challenging.
3. Two words..."Water Sports".

My daughter ended up partying in the streets with all the crazy fans in Edison Park. And then went to Harry Cary's in Rosemont where all the players and their families went after their plane landed in Chicago at something like 3am. She said it was nuts, but she had the best time. She has blurry pictures of people holding up the Stanley Cup at Harry Cary's. Got home at 5:30am.
Ahh to be younger again (I got up at 5:30) that game was great!! The Hawks stopped at Harry's in 2010 so sounds like the fans figured it was a good bet for a repeat - and great that they showed up and showed their support.. I am going to the parade on Friday and hope I can last a while - I need my head examined

Go for it riley! Gotta have fun when you can. My daughter is going downtown for the parade at 7am Friday to make sure she has a good spot near the end in Grant Park. She bought a Blackhawks shirt, then cut off the sleeves, and trimmed it up to make it short, so she'd look cute. yeah, to be young......

If it was a White Sox Rally for winning the World Series I'd be there like in 2005 but since I only watched less than an hour of the Black Hawks all season before the playoffs it would be silly to fight the crowds to pretend I'm a true fan.
Funny story...25 years ago we won free tickets to a Valentine's Day Black Hawks game at the very loud & boisterous old Chicago Stadium and my wife fell asleep in the seat next to me amid all the screaming fans. We found out the next day she was pregnant.

One of my friends was driving a double-decker bus in the parade! I wanted to go but I had to work and it would've been crazy with the huge crowds.
