Couldn't find the thread where Haley joined PMJ, but Scott announced that PMJ passed their BILLIONTH view on Youtube, so I went and added up Haley's 8 videos, from Habits to Black Hole Sun and turns out, Haley accounts for 17.4% of PMJ's views, almost 1/5th

Did you add up all the videos ?
My quick count is that the official PMJ channel has 308 videos
You have 8 videos with Haley listed ... so lol
We could dice that a lot of other different ways.
1 billion divided by 308 would mean 3.25 million views a piece.
Haley's averaged 21.76 or almost 7 times the average.
I Like your 17.4% figure even better but, it is pretty amazing.

What is probably even more important is that Creep is so much ahead of the others (it it his most played song ?) ...
.. you gotta figure than lots of people Came for Creep then stayed for others - many of the other page views would have never happened without Creep being shared to people who never heard of PMJ and there is no doubt that Creep was 85% Haley, 15% PMJ.... many of the other covers were arrangement enough driven you can argue that Scott was the prime driver along with band help etc. --- especially all those songs with the low view counts (none of Haley's) where probably 5 dozen singers could have done just as well as the one Scott happened to feature .

Did you include their shorter promo videos within your calculations, like this one, which is only a minute long, less than 100k views. That might raise the per video average of PMJ's videos a bit if you take out their promo ads

there were one or two of those 4 or 5 promos in the full video list plus, about 55 of solo piano covers and novelties by Scott before the model of the re-orchestrated pop song with a singer and the jazz combo that we know.
So, I guess, subtracting those we get to more like 250 total - those 60 probably had around only 8 million views total.
so still about 1 billion divided by 250 would bring the average up to 4 K views per video..
... but I could get back down to say that if you removed those 8 of Haley's from the 250.
826 million / 242 = 3.4 million average per video without Haley
... so about the same as my first number after correcting both mistakes
