I was chatting with the producer of the Podcast and the subject of the kinds of questions that are often asked of Haley, that many of them are the same ones we've heard many times, with the same answers that Haley would give.
This prompted him to ask me what questions would I like to ask Haley? I gave him a couple off the top of my head, but asked him if it was OK to ask other Haliens?
They may have the opportunity to speak with Haley again, so he wants to be prepared with good questions to ask
So think about the interviews you've heard in the past, what Question hasn't been asked that you've wondered about? If you had the chance to ask Haley, what would your question be?

Good interviewer. I think she was smart to start off with FIFF and PMJ before easing into Idol (smart in terms of appealing to her audience and Haley).
Sounds like the EP will be a full album.

The producer and interviewer are also Bill Burr fans.... it seems they're going to get someone from the show, maybe based on interviewing Haley...

Very nice interview! It's nice when the old Idol stuff is a minor part of the interview. I love that she has so many different topics to discuss between FIFF, CHFIL, PMJ, Album... I also like hearing more details on her creative process with PMJ and Casey - and would like to hear more. (E.g. For CREEP, where did her version of PMJ's version come from - something she had developed for a while or newly created version in collaboration with Scott?)
Waiting till the Spring for new music....UGH! Maybe releasing an album..YAY! At least there is a "good" reason for the delay with the CFIL rise. I Hope the strategy of delaying the release of new music is a good one... Her fans have been waiting for so long for new music, so if Spring becomes Summer, then Fall (like last year) it may backfire.

Better being an LP rather than an EP would be a very significant change. An EP, no mater how good, has little chance of blowing up or even getting its songs played on the radio. I so hope that Better becoming an LP is true, which with Haley talking about it, seems likely

What I heard when Haley said that is that there will be more delay in the release of whatever gets released. In this day when downloading songs is old-fashioned in favor of streaming them, and CDs are further down the ladder, I don't get LPs or EPs as necessary or particularly important. Labels are about getting exposure and I guess EPs and LPs have some importance to them, but ultimately she needs songs that people want to buy or listen to.

To my mind, an LP is better because it increases the chances people will find something they like. Maybe a hit that otherwise wouldn't have been heard.
I woke up this morning with the notion that many great songs step away from the first person -- in effect step out of the listener's head -- to deliver verses that express what a person is feeling in memorable ways:
Like a river flows
Surely to the sea
Darling so it goes
Some things are meant to be
Or:
Stars fade away they just crash into space
Disappear from the night like you and I
...Nothing but emptiness inside
Love leaves a black hole where it dies
I don't feel like "My Cake" and "Better" do that. They basically express, "I'll have my cake and eat it too" and "Now I'm feeling better." Maybe Haley's falling into a bit of trap in writing lyrics that personify an empowered young women.
"Let Yourself Be Beautiful" seems much more powerful:
If all the world was dark, and we could see no more
What would it mean to be beautiful?
Maybe we’d hear a smile, maybe we’d feel a laugh
I wanna live just like that

I'd like some of the first set of leaked songs like Let Yourself Be Beautiful to find themselves on the LP. I know unlikely, I think Haley is about moving on, writing and collaborating on new songs ....
