I should have known after the first time her song was "on". Good news is I don't have to watch it tonight (do not want to upset fans of the show), Haley gets her music out there on national TV and well that is pretty big for her now and what she needs.

I'm glad Haleys song was on the show, hopefully it'll be the opener all season. Can't say I'm not bummed about it not being Haley singing it but...still good for Haley. So You Think You Can Dance is more likely to use the original recorded song, than DWTS it seems. I'm REALLY hoping she's on SYTYCD this year too.

Kind of like listening to a Haley from an alternate universe.
DWTS put some time and energy into their mashup/remix of the song. Haley has indicated that various songs she has written are for other kinds of artists. To me, SMYM could fall in that category -- and this is what another arrangement and performance of the song by another artist might sound like. I think it is another great placement and they did a fine job fitting the song to their purposes.

There was the Christine Grimes cover.
This SMYM mashup also incorporates James Brown's "Get Up Off of that Thing" which Steve pointed out on YT.
