Yeah I've read somewhere that virtually all recordings nowadays are done with session musicians because they can do the recordings in a small fraction of the time it takes a band, and that reduces cost.

I'd guess that Troy Laurenta, who played keyboards with Midnight Mirage (with Chris Wrate), auditioned, too. He is a recent follower of Haley on Twitter.

Will we might get a glimpse of Haley walking the Red Carpet? I'm thinking that there should at least be some interviews and youtubes with a ton of pictures generated. Finally, the pace will begin to pickup a little next week.

According to this, he joined Melanie Fiona as Musical Director on December 2011. So maybe he was rehearsing for that.

So there's a possibility he auditioned for Haley's band.

I think Troy Laureta is an auditioner. I found his name by mining the top of Haley's followers list on Twitter. I looked for musicians who were recently added to the list. Christope Keyes recently began following her (although with the recent Trending campaigns you have to scroll down a bit to find him) and he is a reasonable marker timewise. I looked at profiles and recent tweets for a number of musicians and Troy's came up with a several things of interest (1) the tweets I posted, (2) he added himself as a follower around the time Keyes did, and (3) he has a connection to Chris Wrate and to Courtney Leonard who are two other probables on the audition list. Circumstantial evidence yes, but I found him based on a strategy that started by finding a musician that recently displayed an increased interest in Haley and then looking at tweets and other information. I think that counts for something (beyond my sometimes compulsive behavior).

I think you're correct. He re-tweeted Haley's "Auditioning for my band today!" tweet and then tweeted the next day that he "smashed an audition" and then hours after that referred to a "blazing rehearsal" for Melanie Fiona.
