Dammit. I listened to that crappy feed for two hours. I finally closed the player and relaunched it and it didn't play. So I decided to check out what was on TV. I was switching the channels when I suddenly heard "Free" playing -- but I missed most of it.

I had the station playing through a headset on my desk...mostly just hearing ill-defined noise as I did other things....then I hear crystal clear "Freeeee" ... OMG it's Haley! Listened to about 2/3 of the song -- clear and no cutouts. My first impression was that they had tuned her voice a bit, but I'm not sure. The pitch seemed higher though. Nice, rich sound. She's good to go. Smile

I loved the drumbeat to it, but every time I tried to listen to the other instruments, the damn stream would cut out. Very frustrating.

Haley's voice, the little I heard of it, also sounded wonderful. Is it my imagination or maybe the stream cutting on and off constantly, but the song seemed to be sped up somewhat relative to the HQ 104.3 MY FM version.

I just tweeted this programming director in Dallas.

I told him it had been played on the air in Big Bear, CA and asked if he could get it on the air here. I also tweeted the station that just played it requesting it again because the first third of the stream cut out.

The news travels so fast in IF one of the rooms are almost filled up, this one is beginning to fill up also. So if the Haley house starts rocking, don't bother knocking just come on in.

I think they auto-tuned her voice for effect in the very beginning. You can also hear some layered in background vocals-- probably also Haley. Most of the song is pretty much what you've heard-- but with full mix.
