Again, even if LU! doesn't end up being a commercial hit I'll still enjoy it just as much, and be just as proud of Haley for making such a great album.
Me too.... And I'm not so sure the news is bad; take a look at the list and you'll see a bunch of CDs that dropped in a huge way after their first week. Haley hung on pretty well compared to MercyMe, Kimbra, and Kris Allen.

Prediction:
Coming Soon - A new chart topping single release and a new YouTube video that will go viral. As a long term result, Listen Up! will sell like gangbusters.

#48 is worse than I expected; 8k is slightly better. All said and done, 28k after the album's biggest two weeks isn't exactly the smash many of us thought it would be. I just hope Interscope/19 starts stepping up for her in the promo dept, otherwise she'll fall out of the Top 200 in a few more weeks.
On a positive note, since the album's great and critics all seem to love it, maybe the positive reviews will lead to a few best new artist nominations come awards time.
RE: "Listen Up!" Billboard Chart Positions - Miguel - 06-05-2012
Percentage-wise, the albums of John Mayer and Slash/Myles that debuted the same week saw a greater decline. All saw substantial drops though so one would suppose that is somewhat normal.

Cream always rises eventually. Making a great album, whether it sells big or not, will lead to bigger things. She's young, hot, multi-talented, and has shown she can make great music that's critically acclaimed. That package will open a lot of doors for her. A lot more than being a one-hit wonder from a talent show.
RE: "Listen Up!" Billboard Chart Positions - Mr. Bill - 06-05-2012
The numbers could be a lot worse. In fact, if she had debuted this week, she would have come in at No. 11, so I'm thinking she's done pretty well for a new artist with minimal promotion and no major hit single. The best is yet to come!
