Spirit airlines goes from LAX to chi O'Hare and back for 185.00 plus bags. that I can do But it's subject to change. I clicked on the roundtrip option and that's what I got &)(&%@@^% better to do United or American Thanx Miguel

Their website shows it's $185 each way. I would consider the other airlines as well because Spirit Airlines' customer-satisfaction rating is poor and other airlines might offer more flexible travel times for a comparable overall rate.

These days airlines constantly change prices to try to generate the greatest yield (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yield_management ) For flights two weeks from today, the major carriers are cheaper:

Well, I did go ahead and put in a request for time off that weekend. That's as far as I've gotten so far.

The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step...or the first step of requesting time off

Regarding Spirit Airlines, I suggested it cause I have flown on it 3 or 4 times to Florida and back. I think it started out as an East coast commuter airline. It is definitely a no frill airline, but cost was always cheap. My friend's brother who is a pilot used to take it back and forth to Florida between his paid flights. I see they try to get cha now with all the luggage fees etc. Oh well, it was just an idea.

American or United will still be in the 400.00 range with baggage roundtrip. Sometimes you have to pay a little more to see and be with the best.
