I thought this is interesting, depending on how accurate you think youtube's analytics is, almost all of the videos I've posted on my channel, the ratio of male to female viewers has been around 3/4 male and 1/4 female, give or take.
"Sail" is one of the only vids, according to youtube analytics, that is 50/50 male to female ratio.
I thought the obvious reason is the addition of Casey's fans, until I saw that vids of Casey's songs are some of my lowest views, Stageit "Ghosts", for instance, has only 323 views, so that throws that theory out the window.
One of the only things that makes sense is that there is still good potential out there, fans who aren't big into twitter, postings and blogs, fans of Haley's who are waiting for something they can rally behind since it's been almost a year since she left Interscope.
BTW, in 3 weeks, "Sail' is within 5000 views of catching my most popular vid, Caley performing "Moanin'" on the red carpet at the AI finale, and that was 6 months ago

It had a big spike, earlier, around the time Casey linked to it on his facebook, dropped to normal then a steady upwards trend...nothing huge, but it is an anomaly among my vids.

I've also almost tripled subscribers since Stageit.
The "big spike" I would assume came after the StageIt show, when you'd first uploaded it? The steady upward tick could be a "word being spread" through various means (social media as well as the good, old fashioned way) or maybe people seeing it as an option in what used to be that right hand column. (I can't say that I like youtube's upgrade, not that it matters.)
And bringing up the former "right hand column" reminds me of something that I've intended to mention for quite some time. I'm always amazed by how frequently an uploaded vid of either Haley or Casey -- usually Haley -- comes up when I'm doing some of my more esoteric searches for recordings uploaded online.
Since it's obvious that some of the other options (once I've chosen a particular recording) are other recordings of the same piece, it seems that those options are the "people who have listened to/liked this recording often listen to other recordings of the same piece or other pieces by the same composer/performer/group.
But then as I would scroll down, there would be some youtube listing of Haley's. I found it particularly astonishing when I was doing my "classical" deep dives. But it usually happens.

That's just youtube/Google tracking your browsing history as a "service" and not data mining *wink wink*. More about relating to you, your habits, more than relating to the vid you're watching

That's odd, because because I tend not to listen to Haley while at work, which is where I'm seeing this show up.

It only takes watching a Haley vid once on that computer for Haley vids to become among your suggested videos.
Google has been caught gathering all sorts of data, claiming they weren't going to use it, but why gather then?
They have been especially heavy handed recently, constantly trying to make me change my Youtube Channel name to my Google+ acct name, which I was forced to create to create a youtube acct.
