I did tell I'd try to catch a show next time he's up here Oh, his beatboxing is incredible. I can see why he was the Seattle champion.

I don't even usually enjoy beatboxing, but I always have with Blake. He's not generic with it at all, and it always adds to the songs he's performing.

Blake's beatboxing was actually very good, maybe the best I've heard. And Tambourine Guy was a blast, high energy all the time. He'd come flying in out of nowhere when you least expected it, at supersonic speed. That was a really fun show at Nokia. Sarah Reich is one heck of an entertainer too.

I'm glad you had fun!
If there's one regret from the show, it's that tambourine guy wasn't there. But even then...it was such a great show that I can't say that.

Sarah is indeed a fun experience, in San Diego, I was standing directly in front of her....BUT
where Sarah really got me was meeting her before the San Diego show. What a cool woman, for someone 4"11' she has such a presence, a really hip cat, kind of thing. Unforgettable to hang out for a few minutes with 2 of the "coolest cats" i've had the fortune to meet, Jacob and Sarah.

She's very much like Haley...when i met her, I didn't even notice her height, but when I looked at the picture afterwards, I noticed how short she was compared to me. I didn't know Sarah was that short either. Wow! Jacob definitely has a swag about him...he was also really sweet when I met him.

I also got to meet up again w/ Adam Kubota in LA (in SD he was getting his running in pre-show, with PMJ's drummer Chip 'Funky' Thomas...)
Adam apparently passed his bar exam, first time, so I told him that I hope he doesn't give up playing the bass when he becomes a lawyer, I may have misheard the years but he answered, "Man, I been doing it (playing bass) for 27 years, I ain't stopping

They are definitely two peas in the same, laid back, take it easy, 'it's all good' pod
After Haley fist pumped "yes" when I told her Sarah was shorter than she was, I said to Haley, I don't know if I've ever met such a cool easy going person before, Haley said, that's because she's grown up around LA musicians all her life "

I've enjoyed Sarah's instagrams during the tour. If you look through them it is clear she has a lot of fans around the country. I imagine the tap dance community is fairly small and she is clearly known to those who are involved. She would regularly get together with legendary tappers and also participated in activities with students from city to city. She also has a number of videos on YT and has been part of a project to highlight tap as a percusion component in music.

Thanks dswim. From the looks of it, I'd say that everyone there had a great time as well. The whole audience was really into the show, and it was cool that there were fans around me that all had their favorite artists they were cheering for, but they all loved Haley too. And cheered just as loud for her.

When I met her on the way to get coffee with Jacob in Solana Beach, I mentioned her Instagrams and Tweets of her with her Tap fans ....
She corrected me "you mean my Tap Fam?"
She is just too cool LOL
