In a month or two I'll make a sign-up list for anybody that wants to bring something or make some other modest contirbution to the party. Maybe we can also talk the Reinharts into joining us at Bob Chinn's Restaurant (Haley's favorite) for one of our group meals. There is also a Comfort Inn & Suites just down Milwaukee Ave but thats about $100/nite.

Greetings! I think this is my first post here. I've been a long, long time lurker (and a fan of Haley even longer).
I'm also from Chicago and all this talk about a Halien gathering has drawn me out of the shadows. My wife is also a big fan. When ever we get in the car its "What are you listening to? Put some Haley on!" She usually gets bored listening to the same songs, but not with Haley. We've been anxiously waiting for a chance to see Haley live.
So if there is any room left at this Shindig, please sign us up.

I was checking hotels last night and it seems the FairBridge Hotel in Wheeling that Himm2 recommended has no rooms available for Labor Day weekend (at least on line, I didn't call). Rates on available nearby hotels include Hawthorn Suites ($72) and Westin ($92) in Wheeling and Suite 8 Prospect Heights ($48). If you're thinking about going it might be wise to book now on a room with free cancellation.

Unfortunately, I probably won't be going. Airfare alone is $488, I just got back from vacation, and I'm remodeling my kitchen.

I don't think the FairBridge Hotel in Wheeling is communicating their availability at this time. I searched for dates on 12/23 and 12/24 and it showed nothing available. That is typically a very slow time for hotels.

Surprised your airfare is $488. Are there not many competing airlines where you're at?
