RE: Haley's going to Singapore - Himm2 - 03-16-2013 Nice partial article in the Singapore Press (thx to Hank Stromner): ![]() RE: Haley's going to Singapore - kaypea - 03-16-2013 (03-16-2013, 05:47 AM)Himm2 Wrote: Nice partial article in the Singapore Press (thx to Hank Stromner): Haley says -"If you know you're made to do it I don't think anything is going to stop you, especially nowadays when you don't really need a label anymore." Interesting-I don't think I've heard her thinking along those lines before. March?? May?? -- It was a month that starts with "m" -- it doesn't matter beyond that. ![]() RE: Haley's going to Singapore - Tusk - 03-16-2013 I think they probably mixed up the release date of LU (May) and "Free" (March),? I wonder if there was more of the article. Its definitely more insight to her frame of mind about it, than we have read... RE: Haley's going to Singapore - Swansteel - 03-16-2013 Good ol' Himm. ![]() RE: Haley's going to Singapore - midnightblues - 03-16-2013 Haley said that it was a setback for bout a day when she got dropped by Interscope. Didn't we all feel it? we were all a little set back?I was, but Hales is on the move and the hunt again. Looks like she made her mark in Singapore. The little Pony kicked Ass. ![]() RE: Haley's going to Singapore - Himm2 - 03-16-2013 A day after the Interscope news came out, the Reinhart's got dropped off by a limo in front of me for the Thanksgiving Day Parade and Haley's warm, welcoming greeting to me changed when I said: "I hear Atlantic might be picking you up". I could see by her expression that she felt hurt by Interscope's actions but I later that day found out that it was more that she was hurt by some things that fans were saying about it, then anything else. So her Que Sera attitude was honest I believe, that the setback was only really felt for a day or so. It looks like only part of two sentences were cut off from that full article that I saw elsewhere: Not having a record label isn't stopping Reinhart from achieving her dreams as her schedule continues to be packed. (and 2nd column): "There's that chance. I don't want to sound pretentious or anything, but I think there would maybe be a better chance for someone like me if I were around this season." The bit about not really needing a label now days, about finding a label that gets her as an artist, and especially the part confirming that she's working on an EP (rather than an album). I go back & forth on this, but I think an EP makes a lot of sense right now. She'll be able to put out new music (showing a different side of her sound), start touring and trying to get a single established much sooner & w/ less investment than an album would require. If I had to guess her new EP will be available on itunes, and they'll print a relatively small amount of CDs, available thru her website & at her shows, but not in stores. That eliminates a lot of costs up front. RE: Haley's going to Singapore - Tusk - 03-16-2013 (03-16-2013, 08:27 PM)30CamdenSquare Wrote: There's quite a bit of good info in this article. I have a friend that constantly scoffs at me for buying discs of movies I enjoy and people have been shouting the demise of discs as a media for some time now. So maybe Haley and her people, being the young people they are, might be willing to be more forward thinking about surviving in the new age of digital media and technologies. So much to look forward to what Haley has in store for us ![]() |
