Lol...I'd appreciate a visit to the NW so I don't have to travel so far to see her Big Grin

In that case, Miguel, here is another Encounter I particularly enjoyed:

On Saturday, after the final show ended, I was elated and energized by the amazing performance Haley and the Boys just gave. Just as I had thought it would be on their final night they had come to finish big and did they ever! I was so grateful for three nights of amazing performances that all I wanted to do was thank Haley. I didn't need another picture or an autograph, I just needed to thank her.

And so I headed over to the side of the stage where she mingled with fans at the end of every show. When my turn with her came there was nobody around her. In my memory I recall a feeling of just the two of us almost separated from anyone else in the world (I'm sure this is a trick of my memory, but I'll stick with it) Tongue I went up to her and went into my spiel, confident in my happiness, excitement and enthusiasm.

"I want to thank you for three amazing nights of music..." and so on (I actually can't remember exactly all that I said now because of what she did next). I'm not even sure how it was initiated, but all of a sudden I found myself holding her two hands in my two hands. You know and sort of moving them up and down as we talked. I swear, I don't remember if I reached out and she grabbed my hands or if she put her hands out first. All know is that we were face to face and holding hands as we shared the joy of a thrilling night of music. When I finished whatever it was I was saying (LOL) all I could do was open my arms to her and she came to me and gave me a big hug. It was wonderful and perfect, and, best of it all felt so natural and unforced. Thinking back on it now it is another one of those moments that don't seem quite real. Gosh, I really am a lucky, lucky swan.

Tusk, you are not the only one who would like her to visit our part of the country -- and, I suspect there are other Haliens (closet or otherwise) in these parts who would appreciate it as well!

Enjoying reading of your personal encounters, Swansteel, because I know what you're feeling. And trust me, my encounter was fleeting. I was sitting at the side of the stage, at the American Idol concert, about 3 rows up when Haley came by at the end of the night. I called out to her, saying ''Fantastic job, Haley!'', and she heard me, turned around, and with a huge smile, said ''Thank you!'' She listens. She pays attention. She cares about others more than herself. I paid a pretty penny for that seat as it was a last-minute decision, but that single moment made it totally worthwhile. She's not only extremely talented, she is someone you'd love to have as a BFF or daughter, or granddaughter, etc. Definitely LUCKY you! Smile

I don't think you'll ever take a Swan Dive from the high of that experience and I bet it won't be your last Swan Song with Haley.
Not to keep comparing Haley's acquired friendliness to her Mom's but your interaction reminded me of my chat with Patti a week or so ago at PS Pub. As she finished their second set I came up to her and she immediately grabbed my hand and didn't let go for quite a few minutes, even while she was talking to another of her friends between starting and finishing with me. The whole family makes you feel like you're their best friend.

RE: Haley in Las Vegas - December 6th, 7th, 8th - Swansteel - 12-11-2012

Here's another little interlude that I happened at the After Party, short but sweet:

As we were sitting around, suddenly Haley asked me if her shoes were near me on the floor. I looked down and felt into the the darkness and there they were. So, picked them up and handed them to her (they were shiny black and so little in my hand). How many people can say they handed Haley her shoes? Not too many, I imagine! Tongue Heart

That is very true! The most amazing thing about Haley is that she makes you feel very comfortable in her presence. You get the feeling that she genuinely likes people and interacting with them.

RE: Haley in Las Vegas - December 6th, 7th, 8th - Swansteel - 12-11-2012

The best thing that can be said is that at no time during the three days at the Cosmopolitan did Haley ever act uncomfortable or resentful of unwanted attention. The entire time she was gracious and at ease. As I've said before, Haley enjoys being around people and seems to like interacting with fans. From the outside looking in fans can get bad wrap, but overall I'd say Haliens are a pretty cool bunch. Would she have invited us to join her at the After Party if she viewed us as stalking creeps? I think not. Smile
