Wow...not sure how you follow a Tom22 post and all the others. I don't post much but I visit this site almost daily and love all the Haliens on this site. Thanks Miguel for bringing us all together and keeping us together. I am pretty shocked at my continued obsession with Haley's voice and style. I keep thinking I will move on, but it hasn't happened. I also love watching Haley's growth as an artist and like all of us wonder when the rest of the world will also see and hear what we hear. Never an Idol watcher, I discovered Haley only when my daughter drew me in and Moanin was the clincher. It may take the non-Idol audience time to find Haley, and I will so enjoy it when they do.

I like your comments on the order of (for me) a "passing obsession" .. that did't pass . So true!
( btw, it should feel easy to follow me because almost no-one reads long posts like mine in forums! seriously ! I know from experience.
One or two might actually be interested and read and have some interesting feedback or corrections or stuff that I really like to hear.
There is a great thing about the internet compared to a cocktail party. You can say everything you want in detail.. but you don't need to bore anyone.. they can move onto the next post!)

I was introduced to Haley about a week after the Scotty was crowned the American Idol for 2011. To that point I think I watched an episode of AI the year it started and maybe 13 minutes some other year, but none of Haley’s season. But I frequented YouTube and often browsed for new music, so in late May when heard an AI winner was announced I figured I’d check him out. I though ugh, no likey, but, this other finalist, Haley Rienhart, showed up in the suggestions list. So, I checked her out. HOTRS (Wow), Blue (Wow), RITD (Wow, first time I heard the song), BATJ (wow, never really liked the original but I loved this), WIASNB (Wow – didn’t even notice the fall), Rhiannon (wow), etc (you know the drill). So I’m like “who is the chick?” and I start looking around. Find Idoloonies and listen to Slezak, read some of the comments. On to Idol Forums and then Haleyfans. I posted some at IDF and here, and while I read both sites I found it easy to post at HF, which was a bit of a backwater then. But I soon figured that I was interested Haley independent of AI (I was pissed at Randy Jackson, Nigel, JLo, etc) and so HF made for a sensible place to post and hang out. Miguel was always conscientious and reasonable, unlike some of the mods at IDF (just ask Buzz!). Back in 2011 it was Midnight, MAE, Miguel, Buzz, Cherelann, and Shela and others I don’t see posting anymore (sorry if a forgot anyone).
So during the course of the past 1.5 years I’ve watched the forum steadily grow and Midnight’s writing skills improve dramatically. I remember when Haleylvr4evr jumped on board in early 2012. Power posters like Tusk, Babbs, Himm2, Tom have come on board and brought the forum into the big leagues. I often post in spurts and I tend to do a lot of hit and run posts, depending on the time I have available, but I always check out what is going on. Basically I come to HF because Haley is awesome and I want to watch her career develop. She’s done a lot to renew my interest in music past and present, and to broaden some of my interests. I love her voice and love her spirit. I hope to see her some day, but I live off the beaten path so it may not be soon. Thanks to everyone who shares and contributes here and thanks to Miguel for his steady efforts in maintaining the site.
