I have a youtube video that I uploaded on March 2nd and it instantly jumped to 301+ and there was obviously not even close to that many views. It is still stuck on 301+ over a month later and I'm sure it really only has about 29 views. I sure hope this video doesn't get cheated out of real view counts.
That's the same studio in Zurich they used to record AATB.

I meant to say something before, but I've probably watched Haley's O2 performance of Creep at least twice a day since Tusk first posted it on YT. (I've watched the Lyon version too, but the O2 version has everything it has & then some).
Anyway, I've always liked that song and Haley's rendition of it is just killer! "Creep" has a lot of melody, & dynamics for Haley to work with which make it a perfect vehicle for her to just throw everything she has into it vocally & just go off on it, totally unrestrained Reinhart dialed up to 11.
Needless to say, it was a very pleasant surprise to see that this was the video PMJ was the one released today. Overall I think it's even better than her O2 performance. It's (how do I say this) It's a more perfect, tight, flawless performance you'd expect from an in studio video vs. a live performance & it still retains almost all of unbridled vocal jam of the O2 video. There's one vocal riff she does from about 3:17-3:23 in London (yes I just watched it) that I absolutely love that's not in the PMJ studio, but the key change they do toward the end, which is also one of my favorite moments, is even tighter & stands out more than at O2, so...
Man I wrote a lot about this.... so yeah, good talk.

(3:41). On the O2 she backs off that same spot by a third or a fifth (4:29). Can't blame her . . . her voice has to really take a beating on that song! Smart girl! Another thing I like about the Lyon one is to watch and hear the crowd go crazy on her last key change at 3:30. They are really in the palm of her hand! Now this one . . . in one take, no less! Brand I have to agree with you. I like the Lyon video for certain parts, especially starting around 3:25 and on. Just love it. and I love the crowd cheering too. The O2 video for the the close up view of Haley singing. And now the new video. Gonna be fun watching the view count over the next week!
All's good in Haleyland!

Tusk, by any chance, when you were at the Meet & Greet in London, did the question arise as to why Haley was singing this particular song as opposed to one of many others to choose from. (Obviously, she was going to be singing another solo during the PMJ show -- I'm just curious if there's a specific reason this one was chosen.)

Quote:HOLY FUCK!
Quote:OMG!! I love her! She really is a highlight!
Quote:Beautiful performance, only she's the exact opposite of everything this song is about...
It's funny, with PMJ Haley sings about being a creep, getting high all the time, and having a big booty.
Quote:I AM a major Radiohead fan and normally hate covers of their songs. Especially this one as it'd been done to death. But this. THIS is simply incredible. Gossebumps, tears in my eyes, the lot!

Who would have guessed that Haley would be dominating the jazz charts in 2015? #5!
