IMO what a spectacular achievement for a songwriter to have their dance tune used in an opening number on national tv on a show with pretty solid ratings. At first I thought the voice was Haley's but distorted (HA!) but overall I thought they did a great job capturing the energy and beat. Great way to keep raising her profile as she gets ready to promote her new LP.

My thoughts exactly. Also, they played bits of the tune throughout the show, typically as a transition into a commercial break. While it would have been nice for Haley to actually sing the song, the average viewer would never have known it wasn't Haley singing. Maybe only Haliens might recognize that!!
The Chase ad is still being aired frequently. I saw it once just before DWTS started and then again maybe an hour into the show.

I know Extra the CHFIL video/commercial went viral but the Chase commercial has had really good longevity - it is a year old as others have pointed out and is still airing. Haley has got to be making some money off the Chase ad and DWTS airing her song as a song writer.

I know I'd feel pretty proud of myself if the only thing I ever did professionally was writing a song that got national play on a big TV commercial

When ButterandBloom first pointed us to ispot.tv on 8-11-2015, the spot had 233 national airings. It's now up to 3,660 national airings, the most recent being on CNN during "Race for the White House." The number of regional airings is most likely even geater.

On DWTS this year Mark Ballas is partnered with Paige VanZant a mixed martial arts fighter with UFC. While there are a lot of comments about the carryover from her fighting career to dancing, Wiki notes that her parents owned a dance studio and she was brought up dancing.
Anyway I post this because Mark (one of the original musical buddies) injured his back when they were practicing (after she had foreshadowed it in a way
) and couldn't dance. She did quite well after two hours of practice with a different dancer. Hopefully Mark didn't toast his back.Paige in her other job

I actually see the Chase commercial more than I see CHFIL. I probably see the Chase commercial once or twice every time I watch tv. (I think ESPN plays it a lot.)
