"Free" is the only song Haley recorded while on the Idol tour. She describes it as an "empowering" breakup song. It is -- once they heard it she was empowered to create the album she wanted to make.

That made me laugh. I envision Haley telling Interscope, "Yeah, I like this one." She records it on one of the days off. The A&R guys get it, maybe not expecting too much -- just a first recording after all. And bingo, "we got a single." They send a bunch of other songs to Haley, and she says "no thanks, I've got some songs I've been working on...."

In an interview the other day Adam said he had heard great things about Haley's album "through the grapevine." There was also a producer who tweeted her a few months ago that he heard they "were killing songs!"

I think after her album is released, Haley is going to be on the A-List. Top producers and songwriters will want to work with her and she'll have her pick of the best material.

She's gonna hit the ground runnin'
