It's Topps Archive Baseball Card Set day and I have Michael Young of the Phillies on my fantasy team. You said you're coming in on thursday so I think that works right? Anybody else?? Bleachers ($39) (hot sun) or upper deck ($20) (cool price)???
What would really be awesome is if the rainout of the 5/28 Cubs/Sox game at U.S.Cellular Field was rescheduled for Thursday Night August 29th when both teams have a off day! Or even more incredible would be if Haley was invited to sing the National Anthem at Wrigley Field on Friday August 30th...wearing her Sox A.J. Pierzynski Jersey!! HA!! oops...no I want Haley alive and well for her performance the next night instead of the Cubs medical staff taking her to the hospital with budweiser beer can bruises.

I paid a little more, could have been $100 less, so that I had a little time to orient myself in Wheeling and not have to hurry in the am to the airport on Monday...(like I've done for NY, Vegas and LA, which is more stress than I care for

Google maps shows it being about 4 miles from Wheeling's city center.
and the Crown Plaza is very close to the Super 8 that would be about the same cost if you can get Miguel's special deal. This would be about a 12 minute drive to where the action is up Milwaukee Ave.
Tusk by any chance did you opt to stay at the We$tin Hotel? That is about a 12 minute walk from where the action is.

I really hope someone let know at Haley who is it Miguel and all work and
time dedicated at this forum only moved by his love for H.E.R. is time to

Friday 8/30 - Cubs vs. Phillies game at Wrigley
Saturday 8/31 AM - Golf Outing at Chevy Chase CC in Wheeling

I am still sad I will be out of town, I hope you all post your experiences and have a great time!! From a Cub's fan point of view the only two bad things about Wrigley are Bud and Old Style!! It would be fun to see Haley sing at the 7th inning stretch that is my dream ......

I firmed up my hotel, staying at the Westin as it seems to be in the center of the action. It's pretty middle of the road on cost, I'm paying $88 a night, and it looks to be a nice place. Got a small rental car for $12 a day so that wasn't too bad. It's going to be so much fun!! I will be in town too late Friday to go to the game, and I won't be golfing ( I don't wanna hurt anyone
), but I'm down for every last bit of everything else. Again, I'm willing to give rides to any Haliens who may need it, I'm pretty good at finding my way around once I get my grounding. Himm - please please PM me on what you'd like me to do as far as helping you and your wife to prepare, I want to take any stress off of you that I can.

Thanks NUG...I finally broke the news to my wife that a party Labor Day Weekend at our house was forming. I started gently just saying that the Reinharts want to come over that Sunday. I'll expand the concept when she's in a good mood. Actually once she accepts the reality of parties that I initiate, she goes all out to help make it the best party ever. She will be having another scary surgery July 8th on the opposite side of her neck that she had in February (parotid gland removal) , but hopefully she'll be nearly fully healed by Labor Day.
The Westin is upscale and if you get a room above the tenth floor you'll see downtown Chicago over the forest preserve. A pretty sight. Three cool restaurants on the hotel property. Sounds like you got a great price. It is changing ownership soon but that should only make it better as it was losing money as a Westin that couldn't fill up.
