What is this??? Haley is in it in the beginning, and going by the picture she tweeted it looks like she's wearing the same shirt so it must've been filmed yesterday.

She sort of did in that intro with Jack Black...she had the most speaking parts other than Casey and Jack Black
You have to appreciate the set up.... The Idols tweeting #wherescasey. creating a little 'twitter concern' and buzz.... Haley calling him a bum hoping he can shape up before the show. Getting TMZ involved to drop another bread crumb... Bringing in Jack Black and telling a story...
Don't forget the easter egg for his fans who saw the Blue Gorrila for the first time during his Stageit Show
All to debut his video....inventive and creative (also timely, the day before Valentine's Day. )

I don't think that was planned. I think they pushed up the release dates of these videos by a day to capitalize on TMZ's report.

I don't think TMZ was in on it. I think they worked TMZ into the script knowing that if Casey were to look and act like a bum on the route the TMZ Tour Bus takes, that certainly someone will recognise him and record it (They definately would ask him what was up with the Blue Gorilla)
.... add to that the #wherescasey buzz on Twitter from the other Idols might have put him on their (TMZ's) radar.

)I think it was in their plans to use TMZ's 'modus operandi' to their favor and for some free publicity as another facet of the story they set up.
If you look at all parts of it, this was a really clever plan they pulled off. They basically left a trail of 21st century 'bread crumbs' for us to follow to his new video

Tusk, I agree -- it is clever and inventive and creative. In addition, Casey's a bit (?? -- maybe a lot) uninhibited, because he's not afraid to look batsh*t crazy here.
The guy is so talented! While he doesn't have the best voice, we all know that he seems to be able to play (almost) everything he touches (I've noticed he hasn't seemed to re-visit the clarinet -- wise decision on his part). He can whip out charming tunes (see the beginning of this thread) with alacrity.
And, in addition to that, he has those amazing video editing skills. His talent is so multi-faceted, it's mind boggling.
I hope that this set up helps both his video and the HOB appearance for both Haley and Casey!
