As for laughing at wacky things...the whole Michael Palin character in "A Fish Called Wanda" was so hilarious. The recurring scenes of him trying to kill the old lady with dogs...brilliant. Culminating with him laughing at her having a heart attack when she realizes her last dog is squished under the big construction block. That humor kinda symbolizes the whole Monty Python irreverent take on things.

I think part of the problem is because people hear the English accents and reference to things like Philosophy and politics, that they think the humor is too 'high brow'.
Let it be known that Monty Python is not beyond sight gags and gross out humor.

Just finished watching "A Fish Called Wanda" for the first time. Thanks Buzz! Totally loved it, and the old lady with the dogs, that almost killed me it was so darn funny!

K-K-K-Ken...Kevin Kline was hilarious too ("Don't call me stupid"), probably his best comedic role. He speaks Italian (pseudo Italian) to arouse Wanda (Jamie Lee Curtis) and shows up every time she is with Archie (John Cleese) as a jealous peeping Tom.

^ B-B-B-Buzz, agreed, Kevin Klien was hilarious too (and brilliant, as always). Those two clips don't really do the movie justice though, IMHO. You can do better than that! Don't make me fire you again
