We appreciate you sharing the experience with us and understand there are limitations to recordings made on the fly with a smartphone. Compared to the hundreds we heard during the Idol tour yours are quite good. And front row footage is always best visually.

This reminds me of something haley's high-school music teacher said about her:
"She’s not one to look for praise, she just loves any opportunity to sing, and it shows when she performs. I always have fun when she’s singing, because I feel she’s welcomed me to enjoy with her what she loves about singing."

I've watched Idol off and on, but Haley's season was the only one I watched from start to finish, the full season

I was upset too, T-Man. It wasn't handled well, at all. But Keith is, ultimately, so perfect for Haley, that even though I still chafe a bit at the way it (sweeping Neara out, which essentially was what it was) was done, I can't say that I'm unhappy about the outcome. He's so good and he really provides that combination of rock, R&B, jazz vibe that Haley needs.
Well, that's cool that he "hates to see bands on stage not having fun," but now, I don't know whether he was actually having fun (which he appeared to be having) or just putting on a show.

Her teacher Brian Logan is so right and she gets that from her parents. They rarely perform with a cover charge and don't make a big deal about a tip jar in front of them but you can easily tell they love doing it because they know the audience loves to hear them perform. They make a modest living with their well-refined high-quality talents but their value is worth so much more. That simple love of performing might be what holds Haley back from megamillions but it sure makes me love her all the more.

Getting back to the concert, I have watched all the Haley videos and am amazed at how polished and professional she performed. She was filing in for another performer at the last minute and most people were there because of the race and not to see her. Regardless, she seemed delighted to sing and entertain. It was nice the hear all her standards plus "Now That You're Here" which I hadn't heard live in a while. One observation about her covers, HTRS and Oh Darlin... which were outstanding...when she sings them she really seems more confortable moving around and rockin out compared to when she sings her own songs. I guess this will come with experience.

... I had that in mind when I turned my camera for a few secs of Keith in LA on NTYH... I watched him for a lot of the show and he was having a blast the whole time, closing his eyes...grooving and smiling... That's why I turned my camera to capture a bit of it.

)I think they are all having a blast with it...and why it's good that Haley's band are young and still enjoying their talent and the music they make, just like Haley is
