RE: New Years Eve, 2012 - Babbs234 - 01-04-2013 ![]() RE: New Years Eve, 2012 - midnightblues - 01-04-2013 Ahhh haaa little Hales and her mom jeans ![]() ![]() RE: New Years Eve, 2012 - alpha7388 - 01-04-2013 I love those high-rise jeans, they make them in flare too. RE: New Years Eve, 2012 - Himm2 - 01-07-2013 and to think it's already been a year since I was at PS Pub listening to Harry & Patti & Midnight and chatting with them about Haley being with Stefano on New Years Eve at James Durbin's wedding and the two of them heading up the coast the next day to visit Stefano's Gramma (or something like that). Wish I didn't have to miss Haley in PS Pub on NYEve this year but thanks to Babbs private video I feel like I was there. Thanks so much for that Babbs! nye2012 - Halien Grandma - 01-07-2013 Happy New Year everyone! I thought this a good place to post because I met the producer from E! on New Year's. However, she's a newbie and works in production, editing the US shows to suit the UK and European market...not quite what I was expecting. She's done news reporting prior to her current job, mind you, and also plans to climb the ranks. But for now, she's in no position to help our Haley. ![]() ![]() It's my hope that we'll soon know Haley's future plans. She's recording a new album but who's financing that? Maybe these people can help down the road, but I'd like to be armed with more info. And I'd like to sound intelligent as opposed to a groupie. YES...I'm a groupie of Haley's! Pathetically so! But no one outside of this forum needs (or even wants) to know that! LOL Rich may not be able to help Haley directly, for example, but he may know people who can. He's meeting celebs all of the time. Feel free to comment, advise or criticize. ![]() ![]() RE: New Years Eve, 2012 - cherelann - 01-07-2013 ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ HG, I am surprised you have not had a dozen replies to this post. Although, I am not an expert in these matters, I would approach Rich with an attitude of deference and ask him how you can help promote Haley without being annoying. Of course, timing is everything, so make sure you have his full attention. Actually, Tusk, our resident over thinker, should have responded by now. He definitely contemplates these kind of dilemmas... Just being honest & sincere in your interactions with Rich is all you can do. It may not work but it is worth the effort because you won't get any response if you don't ask,,, ![]() RE: New Years Eve, 2012 - Miguel - 01-07-2013 DJ's are said to not have control over what is played. Though I suppose if one is a big enough name they might be able to squeeze something in once. Your efforts might pay dividends when a future single of Haley's is just starting to be heard. He might give it more attention than he otherwise would. But radio play is a tough nut to crack. Haley met a lot of radio people and performed for their stations and received relatively few spins in return. Quote:She's recording a new album but who's financing that? Maybe these people can help down the road, but I'd like to be armed with more info. Haley has made it very clear she has every intention of recording a second album but there is no concrete plan in place that we know of. We hope the remarks she has made indicate another label has expressed interest. Any exposure is good, IMO. My inclination is that many 'in the industry', however unrelated to what Haley is doing, get propositioned, probably every day about 'new' or 'hot' talent. So your instinct not to go overboard with your fan POV with these type of folk is the correct one IMO. Better to refer to performances online or one that's upcoming (live) so they can make their own decisions, make their own opinions, rather than have to think about the 'babbling of some Stan ;) . something like..."by the way, have you heard of Haley Reinhart? She's really caught my attention, here are a couple of her performances, check them out if you have the time"....passive and not overboard. Seems like there is nothing better than the purity of 'discovering' talent, on your own, without being pestered to like someone by others.... Isn't that the essence of Haley's "WTF moments"? Edit: I just reread your post, HG, but somehow missed the part where you said he's met Haley already and likes her. In that case, since he's already aware of her and likes her, I would think it wouldn't be out of line to discuss your disapointment at her recent split and that you are curious whether he had some insight as to what she could do to better position herself to get better exposure or radio play... But this would probably be mostly informational for you, more than a way to see if he can help her. Without knowing what is in her future plans, there is no way for him to know how or if he can help her. On the other hand, discussing this might get him thinking about her if an opportunity arose that turned out to be a benefit for her, like a great gig that had important players in the audience. Planting the seed may create a future opportunity. |
