Beautiful.
Prompted me to split all the related posts into their own thread. Something I meant to do earlier.

Thank you Miguel putting this in its own thread. And, thank you figure8 for finding and posting this clip.
Casey gives the phrase "take it outside" new meaning.

the phrase taken it to the streets is in order. Next stop the down train. CASEY as a tunnel musician, singing in the subways.

Love the video. Such a great song and it's done so well--just off the cuff. I don't think they have done it together before

Thanks for posting the videos of Haley, Casey and his band. It really is amazing how well they all perform together without any preparation. Not being a musician, it is hard to see how that is possible.
There sure is a lot of great talent in those videos. Haley can sing amazingly in any environment along with Casey and his bass. Casey has a solid group of musicians. I like the selection of instruments Casey incorporates into the music. The cajon drum adds a nice beat and vibe to “Song For My Father”.

ISCAT it is because they are musicians, specifically improv musicians, that they can perform without rehearsal. And there has been preparation, years of playing scales, arpeggios and every other tedious exercise individually (aka woodshedding), and ear training that has led them to be able to form spontaneously and create very enjoyable music on the spot. If you notice, they are all watching Casey for cues (and his cues are subtle). He's watching them as well. He's the conductor, minus the baton -- or rather, his eyes are his baton.

Except when that young woman caught his eye off to the right at around the 4:27 mark. He then turns his head to look at her walk past. It's at that point that Haley notices, playfully raises an eyebrow and lifts a questioning finger to her mouth.

LOL. Very true. Casey can multi-task.
